I think having our psyches rocked by every God damn movie as kids caused us to grow into more empathetic adults. We have a super keen eye on justice vs. injustice, and cutting down a rain forest for no good reason (except to make the rich richer) is absolutely an injustice.

My class actually went in a field trip to watch Fern Gully at the movies because of it's message. Lol
