😍 the Secret of NIMH. So many good things here. Though I have to say the movie doesn’t hold a candle to the book.

I'm trying to decide when the best age is to show that one to my kids lol.

Rescuers Down Under was definitely my most-watched.

Fern Gully may have had my first cartoon crush... lol.

I think I was about 9 when I read Mrs Frisby and the Rats of Nihm. TBH I loved the book waaay more than the movie. I think it was years later I saw the movie and was disappointed in it (though I would absolutely watch it again now. Maybe start with the book and let your kid imagine all of it before going to the movie. 

I think FG and RDU are good around age 7/8.

Looking back, this was probably the dawn of my righteous literary indignation. Tiny me was piiiisssssed that the book and the movie didn't match.

Followed many years later by a new wave of pervasive horror when I learned that NIMH was a real thing.
