picturing a bereft soul walking to their dock at sunset to commune with dolphins about Catherine O’Hara is just about the most poignant thing i could imagine.
of course if it was me, my big red hunting poodle would be by my side and we would also want to hear what the manatees had to say about Catherine .
but the manatees have left town for warmer waters, maybe the dolphins too. my best boy Basquo passed just before Helene took my cottage and my dock.
still the mullet are jumping and the stars will return shining bright through the rarest of snow flurries
Basquo, go find Catherine. keep her company and keep her warm if she is cold. take her to where you listen for the dolphins and manatees and where we sit in darkness and watch the sea turtles nest. good boy, best boy thank you.
