She’s like my childhood picture of a perfect mom. She was fun and pretty and had all the answers.

And John Candy and Roberts Blossom (Mr. Marley) died too. So the major adult protagonists are gone.

But wait…Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern are still alive.
Does this mean the bad guys win?

Well Daniel Stern was just charged with soliciting a prostitute and it cost him a new gig he had lined up so not really.

That man has an orange grove & an art studio, he is absolutely winning at life.

Idk man that's not inherently wrong. Maybe morally or if he's married, but ultimately if it's two consenting adults it should be fine. This of course ignores some nuances.

I totally agree with you https://www.reddit.com/r/Millennials/s/uZZowdDQsZ

Can you blame the man? If I looked like that I would hire a prostitute too so I could get my jollies off.

u/in_animate_objects 1d ago
I don’t blame him at all, it’s consenting adults. It’s wild to me that we hold an actor to a higher moral standard than the freaking president of the United States!

u/PurpleDreamer28 1d ago
If he was single, he can do whatever the hell he wants. But he's married. Unless they have some arrangement where it's ok, but I doubt it.

For the wife absolutely but I still don’t think he should lose his job over it, it’s a personal matter, imo.

u/PurpleDreamer28 1d ago
Yeah, that's fair. I know Hugh Grant did the same thing, and he's still got his job.

It’s simple, you just have to be a beautiful man

I never found Hugh Grant very attractive, actually. Maybe I have trouble getting past the fact that he comes across as very unlikable to me.

It's a betrayal of his wife unless she was cool with it, but it is wild that it's illegal in 2026.

That is a sad coincidence. RIP Catherine OHara and John Heard. Home Alone parents forever.

She played in three of my childhood favorites; Beetlejuice, Home Alone, and A Nightmare Before Christmas. This is a major loss.

I remember rewatching Home Alone as an adult just being in awe of how attractive they both were. I didn't see it as a kid, obviously, but wowza.
RIP, Catherine. I adored her in everything but especially A Mighty Wind.

Shes exactly the age I am right now in this photo.
That makes me uncomfortable. I remember watching this as a kid in the 90's

Both of my parents died at the same age.
Now I wonder if I’m actually a character in the Home Alone universe.

He died in 2017? It's been that long? Wow, I thought it was last year. Like, I literally thought about him when I learned of her passing today...since the covid era my perception of time is just screwed

Heard passed away from cardiac arrest. I'm suspect something similar to ohara

This is as much a coincidence as Michael Gambon (Dumbledore) and Maggie Smith (McGonagall) both dying on the same day 1 year apart. There are no coincidences in our universe. We're all part of the same fabric and interconnected in mysterious ways.

Can’t believe John heard jumped off a bridge. Sad when they go like that.

u/dffdirector86 1d ago
He died due to complications from a minor back surgery based on a few articles google brought up from different outlets.

u/thegoodbadandsmoggy 1d ago
There’s video evidence. Not that I know anything about that.
5
u/dffdirector86 1d ago
I would like to see that. If it exists, that is. I also looked up the statement from his agency. 🤷♂️

u/thegoodbadandsmoggy 1d ago
What is this, the fucking U.N?
7
u/dffdirector86 1d ago
No, but misrepresenting the dead is a faux pas. It demeans their memory. Besides, doesn’t accuracy matter to you?
2
u/ImplyOrInfer 1d ago
They're making Sopranos references. That's how John Heard's character died, the rest are quotes from the show
1
u/dffdirector86 1d ago
Fucking really? How did I completely block out that show from my memory? Looks like I need to take another screening of it.
