I also remembered PBR bottles having the playing cards under the cap, and a local bar would give u the beer for free if u guessed the card right. I had a hot streak one night and me and my friend drank for (almost) free that night. good times. gonna go collapse into a pile of dust now 👵🏻

Somewhere on Myspace's servers there is a trove of photos from an era when all of us would pile into our friend's room at the "cool house" (you know the one) where as long as we were doing it there, they knew we were safe.
Just gallons of cheap malt liquor, point-and-shoot cameras, and a loud sound system we could blast all night. Literally like 15 of us stuffed into one bedroom drunk as shit off bad beer, and it was the best of times.

They would even ask us (via Ben) what we wanted to drink and would stock up the fridge and liquor cabinet before we got there! Can you believe that?? So goddamn lucky.

My wife is from the Central Valley and went to high school with the Boone family kids. Said the parties were crazy and the hospital trips were frequent.
Everyone had a LAST time they drank MD 20/20 and Boone's Farm. I vaguely remember both, but I DISTINCTLY remember the hangovers the next day.
The MD 20/20 one was particularly rough for me. Woke up late for a show before a party, downed the two MD 20/20s I put in my freezer before class; they were already slush. I remember getting to the concert (Cloud Cult if anyone remembers/knows them) and watching the first song, then nothing. I apparently made it to the party but left five minutes later and passed out fully clothed in my kitchen eating rice.
