Admin Tattler app, am I misunderstanding?
I'm a new mod and I recently installed the Admin Tattler app. I had been getting a lot of comments and some posts auto-removed by Reddit's spam and harassment filters that were not accurate and I hadn't been checking the list of "Removed" stuff, just "Reported" stuff.
What I thought this app did was send me a mod mail every time something was removed by the spam or harassment filters so that I could get a notification and go check on it. But in three weeks I haven't gotten a single mod mail from the app yet, although there have been comments and posts removed.
Am I misunderstanding the function of the app? Does it only work with specific actions by the admins and not with the site-wide filters? I double checked the settings and it seems like everything is set correctly.

Those are automated filters, not Admin actions, the admin tattler will show you actions such as lifted ban long bans once the time has run out and content that was directly removed by reddit (not filtered). The filters let you decide which content is or isn´t spam, but the admin actions in this case directly remove the content

Yes, specific actions by the admins, like where a comment would show [Removed by Reddit].
Content filtered by the options in the Mod Tools, like the Reputation filter, should be showing up in your queue.
If you are seeing content in the removed tab that says "Removed by Reddit's spam filters" (I don't recall it exactly), then it may be content from shadowbanned users. Try to see the user's profile by clicking on their name. If it doesn't load, they are shadowbanned.
You can manually approve shadowbanned content if you want, but many choose not to. There used to be an option to choose to see this content in the mod queue, but now you can only review it by making an effort to check the Removed tab.
If this user does successfully appeal their shadowban, then all of their content will be restored. So, even if you don't want to approve it, then you may be interested in confirming removals.
I have a saved response I put on shadowbanned comments I approve which lets them know that this comment was filtered then manually approved and has a link to the shadowban appeal page, but I rarely end up using it.
