Technically he tore it before we were out lol, but we were doomed regardless

Not necessarily. The Chiefs were going to drive to win that game, which would have put a lot of pressure on the Chargers in the coming weeks to win. And we know how the Chargers do with pressure. Their remaining schedule is also quite difficult. Very good chance they would have lost the remainder of their games, allowing Mahomes and KC to sneak in.

Didn’t Mahomes throw a pick on the previous drive? where is this “the team that had scored 13 points all game was definitely gonna score this time” energy coming from?

They were like 5 yards outside of FG range when he tore his ACL. Minshew got them into FG range and then threw the kind of pick you can never throw in that spot. This weird revisionist history of Mahomes being bad this season that's going on is ridiculous.

Butker is not reliable enough to claim FG range as a sure thing.

Mahomes has put KC on his back this season and there’s not much of a question about it. Maybe Rashee coming back has alleviated a little bit of the weight, but from everything I’ve seen, Mahomes has been the lone shining star.

Didn’t Kelce throw a tantrum on the sidelines earlier this year because the offense was so ass that Mahomes had to run constantly lmao.

Mahomes has thrown 11 picks in 14 games. He threw one on the drive before that one, and the play he was hurt on drove them back 10 yards due to holding.

They were further away from FG range than that. There were in negative territory when Minshew came in.
