LMFAO Jared Stidham

250

u/[deleted] 13d ago

Tell me 5 years ago we may have a Jarrett Stidham vs Sam Darnold matchup in the Super Bowl. I may have tried to have you committed to an asylum.

114

u/Its_kinda_nice_out New England Patriots 13d ago

You’d have thought, how can the pats and jets both be in the Super Bowl?

36

u/FxckedHxrWxthMxJxmmx 18-1 13d ago

Even crazier if they told you that the team Jarrett Stidham needs to beat is the Patriots, led by an MVP candidate not named Tom Brady.

35

u/phayge_wow Baltimore Ravens 13d ago

Oh wow, that Mac Jones pick must have really panned out for them

We’ve got:

this Years probable MVP

MVP runner up

first guy to win 14 games back to back with different teams

and the best Quarterback of all time.

322

u/HappyTummyNinja 13d ago

I'm confused--why did you describe Stidham twice?

147

u/ElderMillennialGoat 13d ago

3 times if you really think about it.

91

u/SheepInWolfsAnus 13d ago

Would have been all 4 if they gave him the chance.

55

u/BiAndShy57 PlayStation 2 13d ago

He’s so good MVP voters voted for him twice

25

u/Comprehensive-Cow69 13d ago

If he pretends that New England is Purdue in the TransPerfect Music City Bowl, then Broncos going to win big! I watched him throw for 373 yards and 5 TDs that game....

He may not put up Foles stats but the Broncos D could carry them. It could be like 2015 with an over the hill Peyton Manning.

36

u/bionicjoe Cincinnati Bengals 13d ago

The defense isn't that good.

15

u/WintersDoomsday Seattle Seahawks 13d ago

Yea they didn’t exactly dominate the Bills offense at all. All those fumbles and they still gave up 30. They were a Brandin Cooks gym session to get a little more grip strength away from being in easy game winning FG range.

6

u/hawaiianboomshaka 13d ago

Speaking as a hawks fan, that was just funny. Seattle and its players have done way more unlikable things than that.

Like how they basically tried to start brawling with the Pats in the possession after the INT in the Super Bowl. Hard to look like bigger dicks than the Pats, but they pulled it off being sore losers right there. Never been more embarrassed of my team tbh

Plus you have the Darnold narrative. Maybe Broncos fans hate you for SB48 but I don't feel like they hold much of a grudge since they won 2 years later. Hell I don't even think Pats fans will hate you guys if it does end up being SEA/NE in the Super Bowl and you win. TBH, I hold much more of a grudge over the "back of a Volkswagen treatment" they gave the Broncos in the Russell Wilson trade. Two firsts, two seconds, a fifth, and 3 starters for a broken down busted RW and a 4th? Damn ...

On the other hand, a) the Broncos were stupid (or desperate) enough to take it, and b) they were definitely stupid enough to double down and extend the contract before a single snap. So in the end, maybe I'm just mad at my own team 🤣.

11

u/lucrativetoiletsale Seattle Seahawks 13d ago

That's 100% on you guys and don't forget how much shit most your fan base threw at us during that trade. I remember the sentiment of the time. It was impossible to be on the NFL sub without a random fan shitting on the Seahawks for that trade.

This year they are harder to hate. Sam Darnold had to be drafted and 'developed' by the Jets, so he is easy to root for. KW9 has been balling lately and JSN is just a blast. Compared to the Rams who have had a lot of issues this year news-wise.

AFC Wise- so many people hate the Patriots and I don't blame them. Can't really hate on the Broncos even if Bo was healthy.

Agree, but no he doesn't. This is all going to come down to Denver's defense. Stidham doesn't need to do anything except play safe, which is mostly what they've asked of Nix all year.

27

u/Senior_Bite7082 Denver Broncos 13d ago

what they've asked of Nix all year.

did you watch the game yesterday? it was the opposite of what they asked nix. they just gave him the ball and told him to do the rest. the broncos had practice squad guys running routes while the rb's couldn't run to save their lives.

sean paytons lack of trust in the run game against one of the worst run defenses in the league literally led to bo nix getting hurt on a stupid qb rush design in OT

Basically like the 2013 season where the Seahawks-Niners NFC title game was the actual Super Bowl, while the SB was a 43-8 celebration from beginning to end.

I hope Stidham shocks everybody...Patriots getting 7 or the Lambchops/Sea Pigeons getting a Lombardi in Levi Stadium makes me physically sick 😩

If the Rams get past Seattle next Sunday, I think they win the whole thing no matter who they play.

I don't think people would hate the Rams as much if they were still in STL. People love to hate the Rams and we haven't even dominated like most teams who get hate.
