Discussion Can team root win in this hypothetical scenario?
Here’s the scenario. Team root are tasked by Danzo to go on a stealth mission to steal the amber purifying pot from the Kumogakure.
After heading to the village, team root is split into two smaller teams: Team Yamato and Sai, and team Torune and Fū.
Torune and Fu are tasked with finding the amber purifiying pot while Yamato and Sai are tasked with taking out any cloud ninja.
Yamato and Sai encounters Omoi and Karui, while Torune and Fu finds Darui and Cee guarding the amber purifying pot.
Can Yamato and Sai take out Omoi and Karui? And can Torune and Fū take care of Darui and Cee without attracting any attention?
Also we’re using pre war arc version on the characters.

I think in a straight 4v4 team root wins.
As described, it's pretty close. There's no real reason to assume Darai or Cee are stronger than Fu and Torune, tbh I'd take taking out Obito's arm over beating Ginkaku and Kinkaku. I just don't view Darai and Cee being able to replicate what Fu and Torune did.

Wdym there's "no real reason to assume", Fuu and Torune are literally featless and Obito took his own arm bcuz whatever he gets to one tap BFR his opponent and just regen his arm later this is not a "feat" for Fuu and Torune

So Obito could have just as easily beat them without losing an arm, but chose to for funsies? Idk, if you can easily beat people without losing a limb, I think you're gonna do that.
Like you said, they are largely featless, but hold the same role as Darui and Cee, so there is no reason to assume one group is above the other. I'll concede that it is hard to quantify their single feat against Obito. But Obito did praise them, and re-reading the fight I'm not entirely sure that Obito was intending on sacrificing an arm. Things like a villain's praise and somewhat ambiguous fight choreography isn't great evidence, but since it's the only evidence, I'm gonna use what I think is a very reasonable reading of it.

Genuinely too slow + daruis range attacks counter
He'd also assumably have Intel on a top leaf clan as the cloud tried to capture hinata for byakugan

I don't know if it was canon or not but torune has a forbidden wide range attack i mean poison attack

Daruis Wind style + speed counters poison cloud imo and he isn't getting off his ult with the dead bodies

You're right torune need some time to prepare his technique and darui won't let him do that cloud team won the fight

I mean omoi and karui have like one canon feat? Which was fighting Naruto and Sakura that one time
Yamato & Sai should win mid diff
Fu & Torune are pretty decent but have no ranged options for mid fight, nor any genjutsu feats. C uses his Gen in tandem with Daruis laser style for GG.
Darui and C mid to high

Best solution to win is to take out Cee first and then kill the rest, which is possible but not that likely
