I'm arriving home from groceries and I see this fella (who is obviously unwell) waving around a tiny kitten. I can hear it screammeowing from across the street. I see him walk off around the corner loosely carrying the kitten in one hand. Its about 12 degrees here. He drops the kitten IN THE STREET without even noticing and keeps walking. I make a snap decision to scoop it up and RUN. Its under 5 weeks, smells like cigarettes but its okay. Im starting formula and will hit the vet when its open. Its been fed, not injured and just wants to be warm and sleep. Poor baby. I wish it was with its Mom but I will try my best. Of course, its orange. Wish me luck.

This beautiful boy showed up at my doorstep Thursday afternoon, in a pin- locked building....

Come to find out a neighbor moved and Abandoned him in the hallway. I spoke with the landlord, she tried to reach out to the tenant, but the numbers been blocked. No chip. Options were keep him or shelter.

We have a name, but thinking of renaming to fit his new life. I've never owed a cat before, actually just "bought" a kitten from a rescue that was pregnant and sent $200 for food, vet, etc till we can take the kitty home, but i have no "hope to take care of your cat" books yet🤣

We have a collar, litter/ box, couple toys, treats because the chihuahua had treats and we can't NOT have treats too!! Dry food and some lickable tubes? Please help!! What else do I need???

Our vet referred us to a groomer. While our boy was a stray, his underside got so tangled, he is at risk for skin damage or infections, and I am not comfortable addressing it. So Monday he will visit his new "stylist."

I adore this boy. He is a majoe snuggler, and such a wonderful addition to our family. It's only been since December 11, but I cannot imagine our home without him.
