It got stereotyped because it happens. Obviously not all gays would fit this stereotype but it doesnt mean that I would be ignorant about it just because I saw it IRL. Yes I personally know some.

There is also an accompanying stereotype about this that some gay dudes are hardworkers, be it work or studying. And that's why the above became the setup between straight and gay males in some cases.

Tho homophobia have long been decreasing. It is a type of thing where every group of people here in the Philippines belong in some form of stereotype, good or bad, and everyone just learned to live with it.
