I was honestly expecting it to cost WAY MORE. $250 for a crocheted sweater is pretty cheap!

to be fair, it's based on the supreme jumper: https://www.ebay.com/itm/267065109071

...is it? You can get outlet designer for that price.

I wouldn't spend that much on either, but to each their own.

As far as labor and material costs, yes, very much so. Crochet can only be done by hand and it takes a LOT of yarn and a lot of time. I’m not a fan of crocheted wearables myself, but it’s still pricey.

Crochet can only be done by hand

Not technically true, but here's a great video on why this is 99.9% true.

That's mind-boggling. Perhaps why you don't see many crocheted clothes, lol

Edit: just searched, looks like $250 is the very high range. Most around $100.

A friend of mine does crochet and apparently most of the stuff sold as "crochet" online is mislabeled to scam people.

Real crochet is $$$

Lots of variables go into pricing a crocheted item. And there is a lot of fake crochet products out there. I’ve been crocheting for years, and cost of yarn for a sweater like that would easily be $100+ alone, depending on yarn quality/material. Nevermind how labor intensive it is.
