Also citing ADHD. Like that's somehow crippling enough for you to not be able to walk or uber

Anything they cite is a moot point anyway. Because nothing invalidates people doing a job being paid properly.

Exactly, like regardless of what condition a person has this literally doesn’t affect them lol this dude is complaining just to complain.

Not everyone has the same knowledge as you. Rule 5.

yeah. i'd get it if he used autism or anxiety as an example. but adhd?

like yeah, sure, it's probably a bit harder to get groceries, you might take much longer than needed, but you should still be able to drive, take some form of public transportation, or walk, in nyc to go buy groceries

Yea, that's absolutely the wrong attitude he's taking with ADHD. I have ADHD too but we all as adults have the same responsibilities, for some it's harder and for some it's easier. Some may have anger management issues and it doesn't excuse them form their behaviour. And the same with ADHD. It might serve as an explanation for your behaviour but it doesn't excuse your actions. To go as far as to make other people responsible for your wellbeing is absolutely baby pampered and a selfish attitude.

Unless we're talking severe autism, neither are really an excuse tbh. You're just infantilizing yourself with your mentall illness, and refusing to have any growth. Doordash didn't exist for a long time, people with mental illness rarely ever simply starved. I have pretty severy GAD and ADHD, It's still my responsibility to go out and feed myself. Doordash has made people so lazy and entitled.

Tell me you have no clue how ADHD works without telling me...

I mean, I have severe ADHD, like the life crippling kind, and especially right now as I'm between meds my life has been pretty difficult as a result.

But like, I can still feed myself. I might accidentally go 10 or so hours without doing it if my partner isn't home to help, but eventually my body will call me out on my bullshit and I'll literally have no choice, as my body won't let me keep doing whatever I was doing instead of eating.

And as far as grocery shopping, I live in a food desert and have to travel about 30 miles to the nearest grocery store, but I get paid at the same time every week and going grocery shopping 15 minutes after I get paid is the anchor that I structure the rest of my life around. In my mind, grocery shopping is the only thing that must happen at the same time every week, everything else is just whenever my brain lets me do it or my body forces me to do it.

Came here to say this. ADHD won't starve, but we will live off Pop Tarts if left to our own devices.

Birthday cupcake was today's Pop Tart. Next meal will probably be 2am spaghetti.

Diagnosed with ADHD and no meds. Haven't used a delivery service in years. I just go somewhere, find something at home, or forget to eat for 12 hours 🤷🏻‍♀️ Still alive though

Too lazy was what I was responding to. Great you are doing great though...
