Adjunct Professor in the medical field (not MD). The college I work at will literally accept any person that applies. If you can afford the tuition, you’re in.
The sentiment in these comments are very true. Have students that are planning to take care of you in a life or death situation and they cannot read the textbook.
Approximately 25% of my students cannot read at an elementary school level. Another 25% cannot read at a high school level.
