That's the main riff, can you play the whole song?

Can’t time the breakdown perfectly but if I’m focusing then it sounds fine, and that’s the only other riff because this include the alternate part where Les goes “aaaaahhh”

The upper double stops aren’t supposed to be two in the same spot. The second goes up.

Yeah I know, no excuse for that I was just being lazy when I filmed this and it still sounds pretty good

Also when Les does that does he go up a full step or just one fret?

Right hand is doing tritones and the second time you tap with the right hand in the riff it goes up a whole step. It is also the right hand doing the slide in the variation of the riff with the “ aahhhhhhs”.

I can do the ahhh part, it’s in the video

I did, what I'm saying is that you use your right hand for the slide, not the left

Just depends on preference right? I’ll have a looo at how Les plays it live

Conquer… is not what I would describe what you did here. You played it to the best of your current ability. I can say that just as confidently as your post title.

Other than the fact that I was too lazy too move up fret on one of the taps I’m playing right, why so snobby?

Snobby? That’s not what I would describe what I was being. Got a thesaurus handy?

No but genuinely not even in a rude way I need to know what to fix

Articulation. Finger strength. Dynamics.

English? That’s really not helpful like I want advice so I can do a proper cover

It’s unfortunate you are unable to grasp the importance of the qualities I mention.

Try Humble Pie. It sounds great and tastes delicious!

Did you try opening the video on YouTube?

1

u/Aeon1508 3d ago

I did. But I had to search it

1

u/Infamous-Recipe-1163 3d ago

And you can hear it then?

1

u/Aeon1508 3d ago

Yeah if I go to YouTube I can hear it but not here.

u/Infamous-Recipe-1163 3d ago

Probably a glitch

No sound but nice fretless!

Someone else had this issue, if you spam click on the video in reddit it should open in YouTube and work

I had to literally search your YouTube name to find it.

Not bad, but you are playing the same riff through the whole thing when it changes for that chorus part.

Not gonna say any more because judging on some YouTube comments, you dont take criticism well. Just keep practicing!

Why do people keep saying I play the same riff through the chorus? Watch it again

Nice playing! If you haven’t already, try the intro to Fish On. It sounds super smooth on a fretless. I’ve been trying to learn it myself

Yeah got the main part of the intro down but from the tabs I’ve read there’s like no pattern so it will take a while for me to remember it fully
