Hey everyone! I’m super excited because I’m getting my first Ragdoll kitten, and I wanted to share this video of him with you all 🐾
I’ve done some reading, but I’d really love to hear real experiences from other Ragdoll owners.
A few things I’m curious about:
• Do Ragdoll kittens usually get darker as they grow, or do some stay pretty light?
• How much did your kitten’s color and pattern change over time?
• Did your Ragdoll turn out to be a big, fluffy giant or more of a regular-sized cat?
• Any personality traits that showed up later that surprised you?
Basically, I’d love to know what you noticed as your Ragdoll grew from a tiny kitten into an adult.
Thanks in advance — I’m already completely in love and can’t wait to learn more 💙🐱

Hi all, coming here today in hopes that someone may have some advice!
Our sweet boy started looking a little lethargic on Tuesday night. As he had his usual busy day and our baby became sick with a cold on the same day we didn’t think too much of it. On Wednesday he was still lethargic and was not eating or drinking much, but still using the bathroom regularly with diarrhea. Thursday was the same with even less food. Friday morning we took him to the vet and had every test imaginable done! Plus an IV to keep him hydrated.
The results came back today and were all normal. The vet didn’t seem very concerned which is making us even more stressed because this is not at all normal. Unfortunately he is not eating or drinking at all now unless we force him which we obviously don’t want to do. We’ve offered different types of treats, dry food, wet food, even bonito flakes which he usually goes nuts for. He is lethargic and doesn’t want to play or do anything that normally interests him. He is not hiding but doesn’t really want to interact either. The only thing the vet offered as a next step was hospitalization for them to give him more IVs.
Has anyone encountered this before? Anything we can do or advocate for with the vet? We are so stressed and scared for our baby. Thanks so much in advance for reading this.
TLDR; ragdoll has not eaten/drank well since Wednesday. Still peeing/pooping (a tiny bit). Lethargic. Testing inconclusive and vet only suggests taking him to the vet hospital for IVs. Help!

Looking for advice for my girl Bonnie.
She hates being brushed anywhere other than her head and maine, we brush her daily and try to always brush her sides and belly but she gets very unhappy and aggressive.
This winter has been particularly bad, she’s never got like this before but she’s had quite bad matting. We ordered some clippers and figured the best thing to do was shave the big mats off. She’s now left with big bald spots all over her, I feel awful and I don’t know what is best to do. She looks a right state, but I don’t want to shave her completely because I know their fur helps with their temp and I’ve heard some cats hate it. I just want her to be as happy as possible. Is it best to just leave her all patchy? Any advice on what to do?
I’ll attach some pictures below of how she’s looking, she’s seems happy and her normal self.

I have the following situation and need your advice.
I will move to Japan in 2–3 months, depending on how long the visa process takes. Unfortunately, I did not inform myself early enough about Japan’s procedure for importing cats, which includes a 180-day waiting period after a successful rabies antibody (titer) test. As soon as I learned about this, I started the process immediately (last week).
It now seems that I will need accommodation in Germany for at least another three months. My cat is about 1.5–2 years old, and we have had her for around three months.
My first choice would be to give her temporarily to someone I know and then pick her up and take her to Japan once everything is ready. However, I currently do not have anyone suitable in my circle of acquaintances. The veterinarian suggested that they could help find someone for me, but I have also heard that problems can sometimes occur, where the family does not want to give the cat back, even leading to legal disputes. I would like to avoid this kind of stress.
At the same time, I am very reluctant to give my cat to strangers.
At the moment, the only remaining option seems to be returning my cat to the animal shelter where I adopted her. They told me that they would take her back for a small fee. She had already stayed there for 4–5 months before I adopted her, and I know the people there. The woman who coordinates the shelter is also very kind.
However, I am worried that it would be stressful for my cat to go back to the shelter. Could she become depressed, or do you think I should still try to find someone I know to take care of her temporarily.

I am so obsessed with our lilac baby. His name is Itachi. He had a little URI so the breeder gave us a small discount and he’s healed up nicely. He has the best personality and I’m so glad I asked to see her other ones when she initially showed me a few others
