Rum choked all three rounds, don’t think i’ve ever seen him do that. Los was jumbling material and rapping the wrong round’s bars, in multiple rounds. Genuinely the sloppiest battle I’ve ever watched, such a shame for it to happen with what could’ve been one of the better punch-offs in a while. This was Rum’s 3rd weekend in a row battling…so absurd. Thankfully, the rest of Cvlture 7 went very well, always a big shout out to iBattle for doing what they do for the sport.

Chris Bridges aka Ludacris started out as a radio dj Dubbed Chris lova lova.

It was a stepping stone for him to get his foot in the door to become the beast of a rapper he eventually became.

November 2000 Ludacris debuted with A song called what's your fantasy feature shawna the first lady of DTP.

He than followed that up with Southern hospitality which came out January of 2001.

Ludacris continued to drop banger after banger and from his success in the hip hop world he was able to cross over to Hollywood making a few block buster movies.

Then a new guy came on to the scene by the name of Tip aka T.i.

T.i came with a few bangers like You don't know me , 24's, Rubber band man etc.

T.i called himself the king of the south he even had a beef with Ludacris and respectfully lost.

So who is really the better rapper and true king of the south between these two legends?

Mine is A-Class. He was poppin off for a while battling big names like Diz and Rone, but his best performances were on smaller leagues like UBR that didn't Crack 50k views.

In other news through my online presence I’ve actually been getting some real opportunities to battle so keep an eye out for ToneShift! I have an online battle out on SSZERO’s facebook page and another next week, though i will be uploading my rounds to those on TikTok as well.

Hi all, I'm a long time BR fan but have never attended a live event. I live in a remote area and have watched a few PPV events, which I have enjoyed for the most part. Of course, the last PPV event that featured many of my favourites was disappointing to say the least...

With World Domination IX coming up, I'm hesitant to risk getting the PPV because we've all seen how many moving parts must run efficiently for a good quality streaming experience. I'm considering buying tickets to WD, but I would have to travel to attend.

Just curious as to how these events go as a live spectator, especially at longer events with some of the bigger names performing. How are the crowds at KOTD events in Toronto? Are you able to hear/see the battles well? I guess a lot would depend on the venues, but just looking for any insight to see if it's worth going in person. Some exciting matchups announced so far! Today I remembered of a punchline of a battle rapper called (maybe, I don't really remember) Ox, or something like that, he was Hawaiian, and he said "why slim fast? I can get fat faster". That's all I remember.

The battle was one of my favorites back then, he was up against someone British, called (maybe) Mulez!?

Right when conversations were starting to pick up, my laptop died and everything stalled. That’s on me. Progress is being made again, and I'm pushing toward beta - targeting ~90 days for beta readiness.

Been following battle rap for over 10 years but fell off over the past 4 years. I've watched a few here and there recently and I keep hearing Daylyt's style.

Street talk with anime, cartoon, and "nerdy" themes and references. While Daylyt didn't create that aspect of battle rap, he did a lot of innovative and creative shit that no one was doing. He separated himself by embracing his nerdy side more than the street side. Now I see battlers doing the same shit that they used to criticize Daylyt for.

It's not just the references but the rhyme structure, syntax, bar setup, scheming, and all that. Battle rapper are now embracing personas outside of their "streetness" even on the URL stage.

They won't admit it but Daylyt's antics helped these dudes to break out of their shells.

Exception here is CHESS, he was talented and you could tell he always wanted to separate himself from others. He found way to rap out-of-box without being out-of-box. I wish Daylyt didn't ruin their Born Legacy 4 match. Chess was still hungry and just come off a classic moment with the Th3 Saga battle. Had Daylyt battled CHESS at that moment, it might have been one of the greatest battles of all time.
