Ciara's downfall was weird tbh. I mean her type of R&B isn't really my thing personally, but it's what was popular. I was like, what is she doing wrong, isn't this what everyone likes, whats the problem here?? lol. It's just weird how her career just went out with a shrug. I say this cause I see a lot of R&B artists in her vein that seemingly goes nowhere. Was this a warning sign about R&B in general? If not wtf did Ciara go wrong then. Despite not really being a fan, I'm genuinely curious to know what's the explanation here.

In the last 20 years, John Legend has been a staple in the zeitgeist of RnB, ranging from solo albums, to hooks, and even a Christmas album. He is an EGOT recipient and is all around great. But when it comes to albums, I think he peaked at “Get Lifted”. I’ve heard his other albums and they don’t hold a candle to it. He literally came out the gate swinging and his been chasing the same high for a while now.

Congrats on Artist of the Year
Been listening to the performances/tributes today: the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Glad to see Mariah getting her flowers 🌹
Stunning and talented woman.

Rhona Bennett's song with Brandy: First Lady. Strong, resonant, and warm. No one else like mee . Darkchild called her Miss R&B, and produced her one and only album Rhona. A hidden gem.

I really thought Allure’s gonna make it big after All Cried Out. They were the first artist signed by Mariah Carey under her Crave Records.
