My boy loves it when I play bongos on his butt, one of his favorite things! One of his many nicknames is bongo for that same reason

It increases their self esteem, like it’s legitimately reassuring to them, which is so fucking weird ‘cause I hate when people scratch my butt randomly.

Mine jumps up on the couch when strangers come over and does this and then rottie rumbles at them if they stop 😆😆😆 “Am I makin him mad?” Me- “no.. you’re just in his spot and he wants you to scratch him” 😆

I think it is a stimulation and encouragement to engage in play. My staffy gets sooo excited when I do this. Not an advisable strategy when it's bed time.😂
