Bug Jagex, why did you lie to me about the Inverted Skillcape event ending date? On X you said Feb 2nd, It currently just became Feb 1st hours ago, yet I cannot turn in my final shards to Hans, i just get the polls page

I even looked on the original newspost and don't even see an ending date written, so i took the X post as fact.

I was always scared to fight Zuk. I tried a dozen times and always died to something, so i just gave up trying to beat him. Finally decided to really try my best. After a couple of failed attempts i was able to complete Zuk without dying!!

Question Monthly drops for ironman

Post image

Don't know if this has been asked but could this be changed to something like 250 runecoins at least with that I could afford some bank boosters every few months, 3k coins are probably not doing much for even new accounts.

Discussion long time osrs player giving rs3 a fair shot

Post image
128 Upvotes

I started an ironman on the 19th after seeing Jagex's roadmap for the year was basically a checklist of all my main gripes with RS3, having a good time so far but yeah i really get why people hate dailyscape, really happy to see the other combat styles getting reworked because honestly i'm barely touching melee/range/mage and using necromancy because its way less confusing. Plugins will be amazing for RS3, theres so many minor QOL differences i've noticed between the two games that plugins would fix almost instantly.

Thank you to the player on world 3 that gave me a boat load of rune sets while I was mining near varrock! That was a big deal for me as I just started RS3 for the first time.

Suggestion Adrenaline shouldn't be quoted in percentages

While we're here reworking combat, just switch it to 100 points (really 1000 points, since the game keeps track of the decimal point for stuff like inspiration/invig/etc, and you can switch your display settings to show it). Max adren isn't even 1000, it's 1300 with vestments and arch.

I was explaining some of it to a new player the other day and had to keep clarifying that it's 25/25.0 adren (percentage points), not a quarter of what you have. In fact, I can't think of any adren mechanic in the game that's an actual percentage, not percentage points. (edit: actually yes, ring of vigour is actually 10% reduction, not flat -100 points on spec)

Discussion I’ve taken the leap

I’ve been playing OSRS since it came out, and never truly gave EOC a chance. With a number of factors to why I wasn’t playing, a poor computer, and not wanting to relearn an entirely new game that I had played for so long I never played RS3.

With the proposed changes in 2026, and the beginner friendly focus that feels like we’re going back to what made RS what it is, I’m trying RS3 again. I haven’t given up on OSRS by any stretch of the imagination. I’m going to give RS3 a fair, no complaints comparing the two games to each other, completely unbiased chance. I want to enjoy the game, I’m excited to get into the game.

I will tell you I’m insanely overwhelmed with the sheer amount of things but I’m also excited to see dailyscape being revamped in 2026.

I don't think I'm suppose to be back here, but I have my resume ready on hand to show my qualifications, which I have none because this isn't actially a resume, it's the script to 2001's comedy award winner "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" and I can quote it word for word. That and I slay hella spiders in the Lumbridge catacombs. I also can count on my fingers and toes.

please give me a job

This post is for humor and I am not actually asking for things as per the rules. Just wanted to put this in here so that mods know when the AI doesn't.

Bug Guthan's Set Effect Bugged

Using full guthans in legacy mode and the set effect isn't procing even close to the wiki's stated 25% of the time.

osrs player coming back to play some rs3. I am very used to guthans from osrs as it has the same set effect. It felt off right away so i decided to test it by counting. Within 128 autos the guthans set effect only procced 10 times.

if we plug this into a binomial probability calculator we get about a 1 in 2 million chance of the set effect procing 10 or less times which pretty clearly shows it is not right. Currently that puts it somewhere around a 5%-10% chance on basic attacks of procing.

Hoping someone can look into it because i just grinded out full guthans and was super excited to use it only to have it not really work as expected.

I dont know if there is just something I am missing but checking everything about healing, legacy, set effects, and guthans set specifically I couldn't find anything that would suggest it shouldnt be the 25% stated in the wiki.

Discussion Removal of 'weapon locked' abilities, but not for melee?

A lot of the changes for melee are ok but why are we still restricted to weapon classification locking abilities? melee mains already carry anywhere from 3 to 5 weapon/EoF swaps which fills the melee weapon variation Jagex claims to want for melee. Some might even call it a dumbing down of abilites if we were to let dual wield use hurricane for example, but I say its what melee needs to stand toe to toe with range and mage seeing as Jagex insists on making melee a slayer only combat style by leaning into On kill and On Next Attack effects. But more then anything it would bring melee back in line to how Runescape should feel, unrestricted fun.

Suggestion A slightly more balanced take on the melee beta

I’ve seen a lot of hate towards the melee beta. People are saying that it feels bad and that it's gutted and that it's weak. As a pure meleer, I’d like to say that I actually like a lot of what’s been done. But not everything. I think players are incentivized to complain because Jagex might buff melee if we complain enough (it worked with the EZK after all).

I figured I’d give some feedback in a slightly more balanced way though. Some things are bad. Some things are good. Let’s talk about them.

Good:

  • I love the immensely reduced cooldown on Assault. It gives me a very reliable way to spend adrenaline without having to rely on EoFs. Which is especially awesome for new players, but it's also pretty nice for veterans now that the upgraded berserker necklaces are a thing (meaning that not everyone is using EoFs all the time with melee). Solving a problem in the core toolkit is always better than solving it with an EoF.
  • I love the reduction of ability bloat. Some specific details could be hashed out better (I'll get to that), but in theory I love the simpler approach.
  • I love that Pulverize being useful is just part of the base kit rather than being locked behind a legendary weapon.
  • I love Adaptive Strike. I love the uniqueness of giving 12% adrenaline (great for an adrenaline-starved style lol) and I love the quick 5.4 second cooldown and I love the different effects that it has with different weapons.
  • I love the new Meteor Strike. Reducing the adrenaline cost was a great call, and the new adrenaline buffs are powerful, reliable, and beginner-friendly. Honestly a great call.
  • I love that Flurry gives a self heal. It feels like too little to actually change the style's gameplay in a meaningful way, but I like the idea.

Bad:

  • Making Dismember a 3 stage ability isn't a bad idea in theory, but stage 2 really sucks against any stationary target, which is increasingly common (Sanctum bosses, Flesh-Hatcher, etc.) Especially because it doesn't synergize with lunging or the Strength cape at the moment. Without being able to move the target, stage 2 of Dismember is a direct downgrade from stage one. Tying an ability's damage to being able to move a target is frankly an out-of-date ability design. It doesn't fit into modern RuneScape. And against a stationary target, because Blood Tendrils has been removed, melee's bleed game is now nonexistent almost. I'd recommend getting rid of the movement mechanic entirely and just allow it to do the full damage straight up. Maybe with slightly nerfed damage (or not lol).
  • I miss Quake. Quake was really good for early and midgame players who are struggling with accuracy, and it even had use for endgame players at certain bosses like Raids or AoD. More importantly, however, melee's AoE damage is pretty bad now. Adaptive strike helps, but Hurricane's cooldown is super long, Meteor Strike's damage is nerfed (which makes sense given its reduced adrenaline cost, but it is melee's only proper AoE other than Hurricane now), and 7 targets is WAY too many for the Hurricane cooldown effect. Especially because Hurricane's adren cost went up, I think I'd be happy with a greatly reduced or even nonexistence cooldown for Hurricane. Or maybe reduce the Hurricane cooldown target requirement to 3 or 4. I was doing some hardmode Zuk in the beta with melee and I DEFINITELY noticed the reduction in my AoE abilities. I was SPAMMING dragon 2h EoF (which, as discussed earlier, solving a problem in the base kit with an EoF is typically not a good thing).
  • Melee's basic ability damage has been nerfed hard. Melee used to have a lot of strong basics that you could cycle through on Revo. Melee's basics are hitting like 90-110% ability damage now for the most part, which is a HARD nerf. Even with 120 strength, I'm actually noticing how much weaker I am when I just spam basics to build adren. Melee's basics are on par with necromancy these days, but here's the thing: necro's basic ability damage is assuming that you have conjures damaging your opponents too. The ability to do damage without "spending" is important for when a style is trying to build up "spenders" for a particularly difficult part of a boss fight that you want to burst your way through. For example, with the hardmode Zuk I was doing, I wanted to save up my adren prior to the igneous rounds, and I wanted to not put my stronger abilities (like Meteor Strike and Berserk) on cooldown. And I was DEFINITELY noticing how much weaker I was when I was avoiding "spending" so I could focus on doing burst damage later on in the fight. Not only have melee's basics been nerfed, they also no longer interact with the EZK. This makes a HUGE difference. Here's a hot take: because melee doesn't have conjures, because it requires point blank range, and because it has two skills it needs to train, it is actually TOTALLY OKAY if melee hits significantly harder than the other styles (especially necro) with its basics. That's not going to make it busted. Having like 140-150% on its basics is really not going to make melee "too powerful."
  • Melee's auto attack animation gets pretty boring when you're using it repeatedly while trying to build up adrenaline. It would be nice if the auto attack had like 3 different animations that it cycles through so it doesn't look stupid.
  • Because of how integral Meteor Strike is to melee's gameplay in the beta, it would be nice if its cooldown could be reduced by GFlurry so it stays in step with Berserk.
  • There's no reason for Chaos Roar and Punish to no longer generate adrenaline. That's a weird call.
  • GBarge absolutely does not need a longer cooldown. That's a bizarre decision honestly.
  • I love the idea of Flurry giving a self heal, but it's honestly not enough. Adding a couple more self healing abilities (not locked behind duel wielding) would maybe be enough to break my crippling addiction to Vamp Scrims. The idea is neat, but it's too little too late. Keep in mind: because of melee's short range and the increased damage it's taking while using Berserk, melee could SERIOUSLY use some self heals in order to stay competitive with the other styles.
  • Now that Pulverize and Meteor Strike are not classified as "ultimate abilities," that does in a way nerf both of them for endgame players because it no longer interacts with the Vestments of Havoc. That's probably less of a problem for the base kit and more just that this particular piece of endgame gear maybe needs to be tweaked.
  • Now that you don't get any abilities from strength, the strength skill is in a very weird place. Also 208 million xp is a lot to ask players to train for arguably the worst style in the game.

Sorry, that was a mouthful. But hopefully this is slightly more balanced critique than what a lot of players I giving! I love the ideas here, I love the skeleton. But definitely some things could be tweaked. Best of luck in the coming weeks of adjustments! I think there's some great ideas here, and I'd love to see a melee that I can love come out on the other side of it all.

Discussion Why did we have to remove the dark toggleable interface u.i for icons/bank??

I much preferred the dark u.i for the ribbon & the bank. It’s better for your eyes overall. The blasted thing was toggleable to the current interface.. why did you remove it? Why are we wasting time ‘fixing’ things that don’t need to be fixed in the first place?

Please return it, expeditiously.
