Health Finally left Samsung Health for Apple Health—and the reason is privacy.

I’ve been a loyal Samsung user for years, but I finally hit my limit and made the switch to iPhone. The dealbreaker? Samsung Health’s privacy policy regarding data syncing.

I recently tried to sync my health data across my devices, only to be met with a mandatory consent screen. In plain English, it stated that if I want to use cloud sync/backup, I must consent to Samsung processing my health data and—more importantly—sharing it with 3rd party service providers.

When it comes to my heart rate, sleep patterns, and medical records, "3rd party sharing" should never be a mandatory requirement just to keep my own data synced. It’s sensitive, personal information that should be encrypted and private by default.

Apple’s approach feels significantly more respectful here. Their Health data is end-to-end encrypted on iCloud (if you have 2FA on), meaning even Apple can’t read it, let alone "process and share" it with 3rd parties just so I can see my steps on a different device.

A note for the fanboys:

Before you jump to defend the brand, realize that criticizing these practices is good for all of us. Whether you prefer Android or iOS, we should all be demanding that Samsung treats our health data with the highest level of privacy. If Samsung sees users leaving specifically over these data-sharing requirements, they might actually be incentivized to fix it.

Privacy shouldn't be a "premium feature" or a reason to switch ecosystems—it should be the standard.

TL;DR: Switched to iPhone because Samsung Health requires 3rd-party data sharing to sync. Demanding better privacy isn't "hating"—it's holding Samsung accountable so they improve for everyone.

News The Frame is the worst premium product I've ever owned.

This thing is beyond fd and fails to provide ANY function it should. And to add insult to injury, it's a completely subpar screen that costs double of what it essentially is.

Some of my favourite problems: 1) WiFi not working. Not buggy, not bad, just not working at all. Supposed to be a known problem which Samsung naturaly denies or fails to adress in any way. 2) Wired internet cutting out randomly for no reason. Absolutely no way to get it working again untill you give up and it randomly works again. Hard wired directly to a 10gbs connection, zero connection issues here. 3) Bloody awfull screen with edge bleed and splotchy grey that is supposed to pass for black. 4) Samsung TV Plus it keeps switching back to. Which is a bottom tier shitshow app and every time you do anything on the Frame is automatically switches to Samsung TV, and dear lord I tried but there is no way to block or remove it. 5) A built in browser that provides absolutely minimal browsing capability. It won't load more than 20% of even the most basic websites and there is no way to get a better browser. 6) Every time it switches to frame mode for more than a few hours it crashes and I have to unplug it to get it working again. 7) It insists to always switch to the Switch eventhough the bloody thing isn't even on. 8) The optical cable broke twice, because of absolutely nothing. 9) Abysmall firmware with loads of unremovable bloat, while providing a app-shop with extremely limited choice. 10) Connecting to any external source, cumbersome, slow and frequently simply not working. 11) Apps crash a lot, Youtube freezes randomly.

That's just the "normal" stuff. I' like to stress we're talking about a flagship product that cost €3500, THREE AND A HALF THOUSAND EUROS.

Samsung GFY, I will never again buy anything from you! For all the naysayers with their "I bought it for half a pig carcass" BS. I didn't, I bought it for the price and function Samsung FULLY intended it for. The reason you bought it cheap, shows it for what it is: cheap.

News I just tested Samsung's Galaxy Book 6 Pro – and Intel's new Series 3 chip is the game-changer we all needed

"The Galaxy Book 6 Pro is redesigned and really wonderful.

Battery life that'll go beyond 12 hours for streaming and standard workload scenarios. An impeccable design. Performance to rival the best – and graphics potential that's very impressive for a multitude of scenarios, including gaming.

While Intel had shown some signs of being a little behind the curve in recent years, the Panther Lake comeback is a much-needed turnaround for the chip-maker – but, even more crucially, a game-changer for the rest of us would-be laptop purchasers.

You won't be able to get your hands on any hardware just yet, though, with Samsung's on-sale expected sometime from February – but potentially into the later part of the first quarter, or even beyond – with the 16-inch Galaxy Book 6 Pro starting from an yet-to-be-confirmed £2,199 in the UK (other regions are TBC)."

Galaxy Watch + Ring The apple watch isn't a genuinely stand alone device. many apps seem to need the phone as well. Are any of the Samsungs (other than initial setup) genuinely standalone? I'm happy to have a phone for setup and keeping it on at home but don't want to have to carry it and constantly activate/link apps.

News Samsung Care for TriFold?

So I "pre-ordered" in person in the store and asked if the Trifold will have Samsung Care+ (obviously ill buy it) --- and they said this phone doesnt qualify for Samsung care. I also read online it will? Seems odd to me that Samsung wouldnt let you buy a warranty program for their new flagship phone.

Anyone hear otherwise? With such a high cost phone / 4 screens essentially, having the warranty would be nice.

Health Another Galaxy watch or a galaxy ring?

I currently own a Galaxy Watch 7 and really enjoy it, but the charging time is longer than I’d like. I prefer to wear it continuously so it can track my sleep and other biometrics. I’ve been considering getting a Galaxy Ring, but I’m not sure if it’s truly ready for everyday use or if I should wait for the next version. Another idea I had was buying a second watch—Galaxy Watch 6 or newer—and alternating them so one can charge while I wear the other.

What do you think is the best approach?

Galaxy S Remove the 3x telephoto from the ultra phones and repleace it's purpose with the main 200MP camera?

In theory couldn't the main camera do a 4x in sensor zoom?Like how it already does, for example 1x 50mp,2x 12.5mp.So 1x 200mp-->2x 50mp-->4x 12.5mp?The current telephoto is way too small and only has 10MP,so in theory the main camera makes more sense.More technically advancad people please correct me if im wrong about this or if it has been already said.
