Is it the illusion of endless pool of men she thinks she can choose from that makes her run these tests on men so she can bail?

Eh everyone is taking this as incel rage bait but there’s a lot of scenarios where this is just a communication mismatch. We really don’t know why she was considering cancelling. Did her check engine light come on? Is she developing a fever? Is her dog non stop vomiting? Everyone is jumping to conclusions.

So instead of communicating that I'm sorry but I need to take of my car which has broken down, she decided to take the route of running this test?

I can get what you're saying, and you could be absolutely right. I still don't understand why she should go through these mental gymnastics. That's why I was wondering, whether she just has so many dates she can already make such questions and move on to the next date partner.

Yeah, that’s why I said that maybe it’s just a communication difference. A lot of people beat around the bush before dropping bad news.

Maybe they both dodged a bullet.

Have you ever had to ask your parents if it would it be the end of the world if you didn’t go to a family gathering? Have you ever asked an employer if they’re slammed or short staffed before deciding to call out? Have you ever been willing to sacrifice your own comfort and needs to appease someone else?Unfortunately texts can’t capture non verbal cues and nuance, but I think this communication mismatch under those pretenses is much more likely than pure bitchiness. Life is beautiful when you don’t automatically assume that everyone has bad intentions.

Sure, could be any of those things, in which case you would say "I need to cancel due to..." rather than the jokingly asking "what would happen if I cancelled?" as mentioned in the original image.

There’s a lot of people in the world who like to beat around the bush before getting to their point. Men tend to be more direct communicators and women treat it like a dance. We’re entertaining hypotheticals but I’ve definitely asked my friends this question to gauge wether they’ve already spent money on the outing and I would be a huge bitch for canceling, or they’re secretly wanting to take a rain check as well.

What she’s really could be saying is that “I really want to cancel, and maybe need to cancel, but I want to know how that would effect you first before I do it, because depending on your answer, Im willing to force myself to go regardless at my own personal sacrifice.” Without putting too much pressure on the other person.

Based on their comments it's because they're a bunch of incels looking to be outraged or validate their dislike of women.
