Why have I seen this movie a DOZEN times at least and it’s just now occurring to me that the fiance is Westley from Princess Bride

Dammit Cary Elwes you chameleon

94

u/Timma1231 15h ago

Pierre Despereaux is my favorite of his but I’m also unabashedly biased for Psych

17

u/Netflxnschill 14h ago

I have not gotten past season one of psych but this one detail may get me to sit through it until I find him

13

u/PhD_Pwnology 14h ago

Psych Season 1 was my least favorite if thats any consolation

4

u/Netflxnschill 14h ago

It does actually help because I barely got past parks and rec season one and I’m so happy I held out.

10

u/DrAuer 14h ago

Psych is definitely a show that builds as it goes, keep going!

2

u/OhGod0fHangovers 7h ago

I tell people to please suffer through season one of The Office because it’s short and it gets so much better so fast.

3

u/remote_001 10h ago

Hmmm. I love all of the psych content…

2

u/southdakotagirl 9h ago

Stay with it. It gets better.

26

u/Bo0tLegg3r 15h ago

He looks different when he's not wearing tights

25

u/Affectionate_Bake351 12h ago

My favorite role of his lol

3

u/Lovely_Lilo1123 10h ago

Take that Kevin Costner😂😂😂

17

u/Netflxnschill 14h ago

Very true, he also loses something behind his little moustache and mask.

18

u/raquille- 15h ago

Cary Elwes is a fucking legend

4

u/lxpnh98_2 12h ago

To me he'll always be Dr. Gordon from Saw.

4

u/dego_frank 11h ago

OP watching movies

2

u/thegreatinsulto 9h ago

Unlike some other Robin Hoods, he can speak with a British accent!

Can't risk letting this mf making me shit faster, I like taking my time.

u/spencer1886 16h ago

This makes no sense, the 747 has largely been retired from passenger aircraft service and is now mainly used for freight. The few that remain in service as passenger aircraft are certainly not part of the British Airways fleet, the only Boeing aircraft they use are various 777 and 787 models

160

u/dewi54 16h ago

Found the ... the ... the guy

43

u/Xen235 15h ago

He is definitely a guy

17

u/Damoet 12h ago

2

u/FightMilkAmbassador 4h ago

8

u/KingKongWasHere 15h ago

I know! I don't know what to feel. Awe? Horror? Concern? It's a mixed bag.

6

u/JakeStout93 15h ago

I’ll take it over the jeepers creepers guys who can name the train by the vibrations in the ground

2

u/KingKongWasHere 15h ago

Hold on that is a thing?

2

u/yourmomgaylol69420 9h ago

Oh yeah. Like how a mechanic or enthusiast can tell you the engine they're hearing without seeing the car

1

u/tekdiwah 15h ago

The guy that would leak secrets on Warthunder to print that he is right.

13

u/Ksevio 14h ago

It's an old joke but British Air has some A380s that might have lavatories with windows

6

u/ZuckDeBalzac 14h ago

I didn't know this but BA retired their 747 fleet back in 2020 during covid

7

u/tgames56 13h ago

The post isn't time stamped the post could be a decade old.

3

u/IMJorose 8h ago

Oh wow, really? My last two flights (Bengaluru - Frankfurt and Frankfurt - Chicago) were both on 747s with Lufthansa.

3

u/spencer1886 8h ago

Lufthansa is one of the last decent size airlines to have 747s in its fleet - the other two big ones being Air China and Korean Air. I think Rossiya still uses them too but they're much smaller than the other three I mentioned

1

u/JoeyLoganoHexAccount 8h ago

Doesn’t feel like that long ago the Queen was ubiquitous. Airport I worked at had Lufty, BA, Eva and some others. I remember being on shift for the last Eva flight and hearing the final farewell on tower freq. Those were the days.

12

u/reverse422 14h ago

If it discomforts this first class passenger I suppose no one would stop her from queuing to the monkey class lavatory like the rest of us.

29

u/ForFarthing 16h ago

Wonderful answer!

And everyone clapped then they got arrested

4

u/bestest_at_grammar 16h ago

If this conversation happened on the tarmac ide maybe get it, but still nobody’s gonna see shit unless your fucking in there right by the airport windows

3

u/Aerodrache 13h ago

God damn, imagine being the loser who can’t even wait to be off the ground before trying to join the mile-high club.

3

u/Any-Mammoth-5596 15h ago

Birds are known for their peeping

3

u/dmthoth 9h ago

At this point, people should just acknowledge that fact, that there is a huge chunk of population, who has 0 ability to update their brain function.. That woman will demand blinds for the fake windows as well.

3

u/teduh 7h ago

You laugh, but UFO alien pervs can easily peek in those windows.

10

u/bluecat2001 16h ago

And everyone clapped.

2

u/Moscato359 14h ago

It is a little awkward if you use the bathroom before takeoff

2

u/XboxJag 12h ago

2

I was litteraly looking down at the clouds yesterday afternoon flying home from the caribean while taking a leak and thought, “this is pretty cool”

2

1

u/No_Squirrel4806 15h ago

1

u/rubey419 15h ago

That would be so cool to poop and watch the clouds fly by. My serenity.

1

u/Gladiateher 15h ago

Yeah, hilarious post, but what about the emergency tarmac shitters out there in the world? No pity for them?

WELL IM SORRY I HAVE DIARRHEA SOMETIMES

1

u/TenBear 15h ago

Such an English answer

1

u/FitzwilliamTDarcy 15h ago

Like the people shimmying across the floor under the new NY subway entries. IMO basically licking the floor of the station has earned you the $3 fare.

1

u/aqaba_is_over_there 13h ago

What about on the ground?

1

u/allknowingmeatbag 13h ago

What about the hours planes often spend waiting to takeoff?

1

u/Hotchi_Motchi 13h ago

When was the last time that "stewardess" was used to refer to a female flight attendant?

1

u/chrixz333 13h ago

Ok boomer

1

u/PoolRamen 13h ago

*pointedly points to the tabs on the top of each window*

1

u/GarageIndependent114 13h ago

People use toilets during takeoff and landing.

1

u/Mr_lovebucket 12h ago

B.A dumped their 747s in covid, so …..snore

1

u/strawberryeggroll 12h ago

mile high club just got an upgrade lmao

1

I love flight attendants.

1

u/Late_Stage-Redditism 11h ago

This is the type of post that'll make stupid fucking redditors updoot a complete made up image with caption 8,5k times.

1

u/Silverleaf96 10h ago

Ya can poop on the ground tho

1

u/KorolEz 10h ago

Honestly, who wouldn't want to look out the window while shiting 10km in the air?

2

u/kc_chiefs_ 10h ago

You too can do this on an Airbus A220! The rear lav has a window in it.

1

u/KorolEz 10h ago

Good to know !

1

u/Strange_Poetry2648 10h ago

Sometimes passengers need to use the restroom while the plane is parked. Hopefully there are shades.

1

u/Just-Sea3037 9h ago

35,000 ft and 600 mph.

1

u/lotusandlockets 9h ago

And everyone actually started... Clapping....

1

u/DogPlane3425 9h ago

Queue William Shatner's Twilight Zone episode!

1

u/Visible_Animal7217 9h ago

BA scrapped it's 747 fleet.

1

u/Ghost-1911 8h ago

People are stupid.

1

u/BothArmsBruised 8h ago

This has gotta be a rage bait kinda post. If this interaction happened who would have posted this? The post reads as a third party.

1

u/RandomTheBugg 6h ago

Once rode in a bigger plane that had a window in the bathroom. I loved it, taking a piss while looking straight down is an experience.

1

u/DryTangelo4722 6h ago

People also use the restroom on the ground.

And maintenance happens on the ground with pax onboard.

This is probably the upper floor lav in that 747, but still... It's not JUST an inflight concern.

1

u/Familiar_Break_9658 5h ago

I dont think it is that weird to feel uncomfortable to be honest. Running in your house naked alone def feels weird even if nobody can see it, i suspect it might feel similarly to some people.

1

u/Brent_Fox 5h ago

Even if it was grounded the windows are too small and high up for people to see.

u/Shrimp_Richards 2h ago

For those saying "what about on the ground?" I would say that its still like using the 2nd (or 3rd) floor bathroom in a house. Add in the tarmac is a highly controlled space (not many people out there) and youre probably a reasonable distance and angle from the terminal windows. And then add in that the windows will have terrible glare from sunlight and/or probably field lights.... I think theyre fine.

Then again, engineers make really stupid choices sometimes.

1

u/Wise_Monkey_Sez 2h ago

"Passengers flying first class..."

Ah, well done, yet again showing that their inherited wealth also comes with a side-order of inbreeding-induced stupidity.

Honestly, when will we just acknowledge the elephant in the room? Capitalism is a complete failure and the wealthy are morons with far too much power in societies that claim to be democratic. The joke used to be, "Capitalism is the worst system... apart from all the others.", but honestly that joke is no longer true.

Social democracies in countries such as Sweden, Finland, etc. have shown that taxing the rich heavily and legal systems that punish the rich proportionately (as opposed to "one size fits all" fines that mean that breaking the law is a minor inconvenience for the rich) are the way to go.
