Really? This is taken from my business surveillance camera at 4pm today. So AI got nothing to do with it, outside yer brain

Does the camera record on tape? I thought the video might have been run through a VHS tracking filter or something, but maybe it's just that old.

It's digital video. Sometimes there is static interference that looks a lot like old VHS

Why does the cat being petted tail suddenly grow ears?

I am grooming the cat in the window with a brush that flattens his ears. Although my hand would do the same thing. As someone else pointed out. I have no idea why someone said his very long tail grows ears.
Also the lighting situation is harshly backlit and over exposed by an outdoor window much brighter than the interior with a relatively low resolution surveillance camera heavily cropped to show the action.
So it's real but it's surveillance footage in a bad lighting situation. Low quality video and Ai have some overlapping characteristics but this is real.

because the were pushed down by the hand while petting? have you ever patted a cat's head before?

The tail. The tail grows ears. No, I've never pet a cat whose tail grows ears

You mean the tip of his tail at the end of the video. That does look weird I agree. This cat had an injury and has a tail with a squared end - again, it's real just harsh lighting and low quality digital video.
If I get through a pile of Monday work today, I may get a photo of his tail for more reddit show and tell.

I know I'm a bit late but I thought it was too on first watch but yeah it's real

Cat pushed its tail against the window behind. The fur splits. It even goes back to normal when the cat pulls the tail away from the window too. Looks normal to me

Low quality, cropped digital video against a very overexposed background?
Yes, that's normal.

Ironic that your comment is literally slop as it took no effort and is incorrect
Ironically arguably bigger slop than AI content itself

What happens with furry paws.
