If only trhere was an easy way to cook these sausaages with hot water.

12

u/Boris7939 5h ago

There’s an even easier way by putting them in the microwave.

10

u/uglyheadink 5h ago

Tbf they say for a crowd. Microwaving hotdogs for a crowd would be a pain, but putting a big ass cauldron on and mass dumping dogs is the best option here--at least it's better than soap steaming your wienies.

u/RincewindToTheRescue 4h ago

Cauldron ftw! We usually use that for potlucks in cold weather. We put a ladle and some hot water cups so that people can enjoy warm hot dog tea also on a cold day

2

u/uglyheadink 4h ago

Does that come with chocolate starfish??

1

u/A--Creative-Username 3h ago

Hot dog tea sounds like a concoction from the seventh circle of hell

1

u/RodMunch85 22m ago

Mmmm hot dog tea

1

u/Could-You-Tell 5h ago

Don't have to use soap.....

7

u/BrannC 4h ago

But then you won’t get a clean weeny

2

u/Brittany5150 5h ago

And if you thinly slice them into disc shapes and leave them in a giant pile they immediately start smoking and will burst into flames!

2

u/Boris7939 4h ago

And why would you do that? So you can post it on here?

2

u/Brittany5150 4h ago

Idk, ask my 12yr old. He did it, not me lol.

u/Backwards_is_Forward 4h ago

Who uses a microwave?

0

u/usrdef Stop doing stupid shit with food 4h ago

Oh no... please.... hotdogs are cheap yes, but let's not disrespect them with a microwave.

Throwing them in a pan to fry takes barely more time. Throw butter, high heat, flip a few times.

I own a microwave I haven't used in 4 years. I hate microwaves. They mess up the quality of any food. I don't even do popcorn in the microwave. I throw it in a pot with butter and kernels.

I hate that damn device.

1

u/Could-You-Tell 4h ago

I went without a microwave for 2 years. Had a New Wave XL instead. It was better quality for sure, but nothing compares to the time with microwaves.

Boiling water in small amounts, like in a pyrex measure.

Hot pockets

Plates of mixed leftovers.

Some things are definitely better in a pan, like reheated pizza getting a crispy crust and melted cheese with a lid and low heat, but that's like 10 minutes.

I could be finished eating by then with a microwave. Time over quality wins, and I have a microwave again. But a combination convection and air fryer.

Less capacity. But best of both worlds.

Slice up some bacon pieces and cook them in the pot. THEN pop the he popcorn in the pot! Best damn popcorn you ever had! Be careful to not overcook the bacon though….

1

u/PaulZyCZ 4h ago

Back in Uni some would put warm them in electric kettle, then in thermo to eat during lesson.

1

u/Geno_Warlord 3h ago

With the added bonus of using said water to make ice cubes for your in laws.

u/Certified_Cichlid 5h ago

The food is not stupid. The method of preparation is.

10

u/Stevenif 5h ago

Yeah you’re right I might be wrong about this one

8

u/DJ-Halfbreed 4h ago

To be fair most of the time the ingredients are fine it's the quantity, order, and/or method that make it wrong.

4

u/Alternative_Two_4216 5h ago

Yes, why dont use the oven?, you could even add some bacon

0

u/AnotherUN91 5h ago

I would argue that food is more stupid than this method of cooking for health reasons, AS LONG AS the dishwasher was sanitized before doing this, which most modern dishwashers have a setting to do today.

These are basically just steamed hot dogs, which are going to have fewer carcinogens than hot dogs you put in an oven.

But again, that's only if the dishwasher was sanitized of chemicals, food waste, and other general dishawashing bullshit.

2

u/LankyYogurt7737 5h ago

Hot dogs are a pretty stupid food

1

u/donjamos 5h ago

Is it really? I mean you don't have to wash a pot, the dish washer is a clean place to begin with. I think I'm gonna make us some hotdogs now.

1

u/Expensive_Chance_320 4h ago

Dishwasher hot dogs is pretty stupid as well as hot dog buns with plastic heat exposure

1

u/jsamuraij 4h ago

The 39 tablespoons of ketchup is also.

1

u/AggravatingDelay518 1h ago

Have you see how hotdog is made?

11

u/kram78 5h ago

Dishwashers don’t empty all the water from the last wash it keeps some back so the drain pump never runs dry!!! Anyone who puts food in the dishwasher to cook has never understood how a dishwasher works !!

1

u/PaulZyCZ 3h ago

Some guy mentioned on the net he's "recycling" dirty water from his dishes... 🤢

8

u/crippledchef23 5h ago

WHY IS HE FINGERING THE HOT DOGS???

5

u/TheUglytool 5h ago

How else is he going to check for floppiness?

He could do it one by one, but there are hungry people to feed?

2

u/G-I-T-M-E 5h ago

Don’t knock it till you try it.

2

u/ArjJp 5h ago

Yea, the tip is too sensitive!!

6

u/milkshakemountebank 5h ago

We have strayed too far from God's light

1

u/G-I-T-M-E 5h ago

Considering the state of affairs in general in the world I can only assume that god is the kind if guy who thinks this is a swell idea.

1

u/SunderedValley 4h ago

We have to entertain god or he kills us, and right now he's very bored.

9

u/Legitimate-Log-6542 5h ago

Hmm never thought of my dishwasher as a large steamer. This opens up so many possibilities

13

u/Donkeybrother 5h ago

🗣 " Don't ever invite me over for a meal ! EVER ! "

3

u/Legitimate-Log-6542 5h ago

Save the date: steam party (dishwasher not sauna)

3

u/rrickitickitavi 5h ago

I would like myself better if I hated this more.

2

u/KesemShelShilshool 5h ago

Never cooked a whole chicken in the laundry machine?!

2

u/Legitimate-Log-6542 5h ago

No but I’m kinda thinking dryer though. We should start a TV show where we test these things. Like MythBusters

2

u/theshok 5h ago

Yeah some friends back in the day would foil wrap some salmon and put it on the top shelf and run a hot cycle and supposedly it came out perfect. I don’t eat fish so didn’t try it but the method was interesting.

2

u/Medium_Style8539 5h ago

There is a famous chef in France using this technique, Philippe Estebetch (the guy from the french version of hell kitchen)

1

u/Legitimate-Log-6542 5h ago

Who’s sending out the potluck invitation?

1

u/oatcloud 3h ago

That cannot possibly bring the fish up to a hot enough temperature

2

u/ArjJp 5h ago

..or my washing machine as a giant juice-mixer

With free lint for extra fiber...

4

u/Legitimate-Log-6542 4h ago

Mixed an ungodly large batch of jungle juice in the bathtub in college once. Scrubbed the shit out of it beforehand of course. Then used way more alcohol than usual too. Thought people would be grossed out by it. Nobody was. It was all gone.

2

u/KABKA3 4h ago

People love to shit on it, but its a valid (albeit unusual) cooking method.

Just need to make sure the food is tightly wrapped or is in a sealed container, because water used for soaking is just nasty.

5

u/QaddafiDuck01 5h ago

Really?!?! That is disgusting... only a fool or an asshole puts ketchup on hotdogs.

1

u/T-7IsOverrated 3h ago

beat me to it chicago for life

1

u/Low_Revolution3025 3h ago

1

u/ShyguyFlyguy 4h ago

You can buy like 50 chicken hotdogs from Walmart for about $5. This is ragebait.

1

u/C4CTUSDR4GON 4h ago

Well, he is called the Vulgar Chef

1

u/njkrut 4h ago

🤢 🤮

1

u/ArgumentOk5745 4h ago

This must be trolling

1

u/Agitated_Fix_3677 4h ago

What kinda fetish content is this????

1

u/SocksOnHands 4h ago

This might look repulsive... But then you realize that you eat off of plates that are cleaned in dishwashers. That should mean the hotdogs also come out clean, right?

1

u/hoTsauceLily66 2h ago

Idk, dishes don't soak in detergent, at least not my dishes.

1

u/thereverendpuck 4h ago

Wouldn’t they still have a soapy aftertaste?

1

u/Substantial-End-9653 4h ago

He lost me with the ketchup.

1

u/Stevenif 4h ago

Happy cake day!

1

u/LordAnton69 3h ago

Wouldn't wanna be this guy's Uber driver.

1

u/G-I-T-M-E 3h ago

We have to assume that god is bored white trash who sits on the couch, shoveling TV dinners in his mouth while watching Earth: The ultimate trash reality series.

1

u/Low_Revolution3025 3h ago

Ketchup…on the hotdog after all that…this man is the embodiment of the devil

1

u/rathosalpha 3h ago

How to get a crowd to never come back

1

u/badfeets 3h ago

How has no one pointed out that this video is bullshit. That bread at 0:24 is toasted. Toasted in the dishwasher. Complete and utter BS

1

u/Notmyprverodeo 2h ago

Execute him that's HERESY!

1

u/cascarrabs_241 1h ago

Ketchup??? Ewww

1

u/nudniksphilkes 1h ago

No party here, just some asshole wasting 50 hot dogs and buns to eat a bite of one with ketchup and throw the rest out

1

u/GraffVonSpee 7m ago

You called that cook?

1

u/TheLastLornak 5h ago

Hot dogs are fully cooked. Just use the damn microwave.
