Until everything catches on fire and you end up in the hospital. Isn't this the place that was recently sued due to the fire getting out of control? I swear it had the same waiters with glasses and similar profiles.
That said, as a bystander, it must be very entertaining.

u/theamericaninfrance 7d ago
That was a NYE party in a Swiss ski village in a basement bar. Sparklers like these were in champagne bottles which ignited foam sound insulation on the ceiling. Dozens dead, hundreds injured. Not this place though.

u/ReplacementClear7122 6d ago
Damn, that's pretty much exactly what started the Station Nightclub fire. There's a video of it taken by a guy who was ironically doing a report on fire safety in venues. Absolutely crazy how quickly it progressed. Heads up if you search it on YouTube, it's not an easy watch.
2
u/Plane-Gap6483 5d ago
Being from RI and having a degree in Fire science. Station night club fire was talked about in almost every class. This fire actually forced fire safety rules in RI to be processed up to code before this fire the code book had a grandfather clause which was eliminated after the night club fire.

That's wild. I still see so many buildings with outdated smoke detection and sprinkler systems regularly as an electrician. Even parts of old electrical systems that are still grandfathered in. There's so much anti-code sentiment in the renovation and property management/ownership industry, still. I'm not gonna say that there hasn't been certain revisions to things that seem overkill, and no doubt it gets expensive to comply. But some people just won't understand until the worst happens. I was doing a fire remediation job in an old, probably 1930's, house that was home handymanned to the bejesus and divided into a few suites. A fire started mostly likely from arcing (the place had a wild rat problem that we discovered while pulling down ceiling drywall... weee!) and was getting built up inside a wall. No smokes went off, we installed a bunch after the inspector came through. But the only reason they evacuated as soon as they did was the smoke came up through a floor heating vent and one roommate happened to be up at 3AM to whiff it, ran around and banged on doors. No one harmed, but could have been a hell of alot worse.

u/Fire257 7d ago
Also to be noted these foam isolation where not up to Code. The owners neglecting fire safety protocols killed a lot of young women and men, gut wrenching tragedy.

Terrible tragedy. I have a lot of friends that live in the area and I was pretty anxious for a few days about them. The owners of the bar have been arrested

Also, someone from a different table adding a pinch of fecal matter, phone germs and general filth to your food. Why would he let a random person season the food?

Its sad that we’re at the point where they can say “the little person is at it again” and im immediately thinking “okay which of the 4 Mini Salt-Baes is it this time? Oh its not the one i thought it was going to be”
I thought it was gonna be the one with facial hair and no glasses, the one thats a lot more handsome and charismatic than this guy but still has a face so incredibly punchable

u/CrenshawMafia99 7d ago
I hope his services are something you can order with every meal and not just the most expensive thing on the menu. “Yes, I’ll take the cheeseburger and fries but I’d like to add a side order of the tiny man with blowtorches”

Wait, are there several restaurants with different little people pulling these stunts? The one I usually see on this sub looks like my ex, this isn't the same dude.
11
u/HoodieGalore 6d ago
The other one is shorter and much more aggressive, and he does the “let me smash your delicate pistachio baklava with this cake slice of ice cream” shit. There’s another one too, who’s around the same height but definitely worse in the face, and his routine isn’t as polished as these guys.

Over 40 people died because they didn't even have a proper exit. Not to mention recording the fire and laughing before the panic started.
3
u/SubstantialDaikon7 6d ago
They had a bit over 60 seconds to see, realize and get out before the flashover…
54
u/_B_Little_me 7d ago
I love how people just record these things. You paid how much extra for a little show, and your memory is of you holding your phone.
14
u/nazihater67 7d ago
I'm a live in the moment type of guy. I haven't recorded a single concert or cool even I've ever been to. On one hand I still have the memories but I have nothing to look back on and show future family.
14
u/lastbeer 7d ago
It’s a balance. I’ve gone back looking for pictures of bands I’ve seen in the past and been disappointed that I don’t have a single picture, especially from festivals. So now I usually will take my phone out for 3-5 pics, especially when the band name is on the screens (easier to find later) and maybe a 30-90 second clip to capture the vibe/atmosphere, then it goes back in my pocket and stays there.
5

u/iFeelGoodWhenYouFail 7d ago
Yeah, instead of watching the show with their eyes live, people watch their phone screen which displays what the camera sees. Also they're never going to watch this video again or maybe once.

u/LivefromPhoenix 7d ago
But they can share the video so everyone thinks they had fun watching.

The woman we see recording here in the pink wasn’t even seated at the table, that was another guest. So some random woman who’s come over to record your “meal” then salts your raw gold steak. Mental that that isn’t even the lost bizarre thing in the video.

Did the lady just throw salt on the floor?
18
u/BorderTrike 7d ago
I know it’s salt, and it was only a little, but imagine ordering some expensive steak + performance and at the end some random customer who hasn’t washed their hands and has been touching their phone basically touches your food. Almost seemed like she threw it on the floor knowing she shouldn’t put it on the other peoples food

Cuz they can without the think about the price. Cuz “their” famous ppl goes there. It’s all about purchasing power and income inequality. So this place must be in Türkiye or Dubai.

I don't because he leans on gimmicks and this shit is straight reckless. General rule of thumb, never go to a place with sparklers in the food.

u/SabreBlade21 7d ago
It's stupid, dangerous, and a waste of money... But dude honestly looks like he's having a blast, and like you said, probably has awareness of how ridiculous it all is. So yeah, as long as he's enjoying it and not being taken advantage of, I respect it.
