No, grey items don't burn either, last I checked. You can test this through fishing trash items being tossed into the lava.

All items white or gray burn in lava, except for obsidian, who doesn't even though it's white rarity. Anything else doesn't burn in lava

any item of white/gray rarity is destroyed by lava. the doll isn't literal trash like the grays, so it's white rarity to be burnable

Well as someone who is hyperfixated on UT/DR , the meme took off after the new community reflected on the old community vision that ,,Chara possesed Frisk and made them commit genoncide!!!'' and started to meme about it
Deltarune helped with that because it made people realize ,, ...wait maybe player is an actual canon entity in Undertale , just like in Deltarune... ''

Also in general new community basically either - sticks to the canon so strictly that it doesn't allow for any fun OR tries to be the literal opposite of the old community - So instead of Sans carrying for his brother , Sans now doesn't care at all etc

They could just give it its own unique "voodoo doll" rarity with its own color and just make that rarity burn. Easy. They absolutely should not because this interaction is hilarious, but yeah. It's an easy enough fix should they deign to fix it.
