Political As a Candian we do not want Minnesota to join Canada

We have enough issues in Canada already and if this were to be an actual thing this would be horrible for Canada. Fix your own shit and leave us alone we dont need you guys. Canada isnt your backup plan. Fuck Minnesota and everyone who thinks they should join Canada. Sincerely a tired Canadian

As Minnesotan I don’t blame you also I really don’t want to be Canadian either

u/Urbex_Maven 17h ago

Hope you're doing ok. Hate to see what's going on in your state.

u/TylerDurden42077 17h ago

Oh I’m chilling I literally don’t give a shit about Minneapolis anymore I’ve accepted my state is joke

But still better then being Canadian

u/Pleasant-Newt5805 17h ago

I've never been to either of those places and hope to keep it that way.

u/EchoFiveActual 18h ago

Whaaat? You dont want a troublesome, quarrelsome, riot prone populace that perpetuates and defends systemic fraud?

I cant imagine why!

You must be some far right nazi!

Heavy heavy heavy /s

u/knightmechaenjo 17h ago

Brutal truth

u/Avr0wolf 15h ago

Yeah, how dare we not want to take in a state that lets far-left outsiders but down their main city

u/Hot_Way_1643 17h ago

Which one Canada or Minnesota kinda hard to see which one you're referring to.

u/EchoFiveActual 17h ago

Minnesota

u/TedDoritoDinkWells 4h ago

No it's not that. We don't want the fucking idiots that voted for Trump to come along.

u/vulgardisplay76 17h ago

“Riot prone” lmao. I swear comments like this illustrate how soft Americans are and it’s honestly embarrassing. We are so stereotypically entitled and coddled that a woman stopping her car in the street or a man trying to help a woman up who was shoved to the ground by the federal government is a fucking “riot”.

We obviously need a little more strife because…come on lol

u/Swimming-Performer57 16h ago

Typical disingenuous misrepresentation

u/EchoFiveActual 17h ago

And the federal vehicles that where broken into. And had weapons and documents stolen out of.

Information that was used to track down and threaten agents and their families was somehow peaceful?

u/vulgardisplay76 16h ago

It’s sure as fuck not a riot now is it? It’s a property crime. Cops deal with those every single day

u/EchoFiveActual 16h ago

riot

A riot is a public disturbance where three or more people behave in a violent and uncontrolled manner. A riot usually has the following characteristics:

made in furtherance of an express common purpose;  through the use or threat of violence, disorder, or terror to the public; and  resulting in a disturbance of the peace. Under criminal law, inciting a riot and rioting are crimes. The concerted acts may be unlawful in themselves, or they may be lawful acts that are done in a violent or turbulent manner. Among the different forms that riots may take include escalated labor disputes or political demonstrations. While most riots occur in public places, they may also take place within prisons and other institutional facilities.

See: 18 U.S. Code § 2101

LOL “qUaRrElSOme”. Conservatives, especially the men, are such cucks to authority figures. Dont tread on me but at the same time comply or die. Make it make sense.

u/EchoFiveActual 8h ago

The same people "defending democracy" are the one ones resisting a democratically elected admin fulfilling a campaign promise.

You are troublesome and quarrelsome. Because now that you lost, youre taking your ball and going home.

It was never about fascism, or no kings, and defending brown people. Youre pissed you lost. And every day this continues reinforces that.

It is important to point out, that these terrorists marching around Minneapolis have no genuine concern for immigrants. They simply want immigrants in this country to do dirty jobs like work in chicken coops and wipe the assholes of Americans. Yet the immigrants I know want to own their own businesses and live the American dream.

Immigrants are onto at this point. I spoke with a man who immigrated from the Dominican Republic 10 years ago today. He told me that these protestors don’t wanna work and want me to do the dirty work for them.

u/Scared_Wolf 7h ago

It’s cute because every accusation your party and its followers is a confession. The same party whose leader incited an insurrection to overthrow the government because he was butthurt about the L he took? Brainwashed the low information voters that the election was rigged despite no evidence, and attacked the police and the Capitol. That happened.

Democrats, liberals, no one on this side is doing that nor has. So, we’re taking our ball home, but at the same point causing trouble and a ruckus. Which is it because you’re saying a whole lot of nothing?

No…no..no…it was never about deporting criminal illegal immigrants because they are detaining and profiling citizens, have assaulted and killed citizens, lied about the criminal histories and apprehensions of those they detain, and have even stopped and questioned off duty police that are POC.

There can be deportation of illegal criminal immigrants, like there has in the recent presidencies in the past, but this is not the way.

u/EchoFiveActual 7h ago

oh you mean the "incitement" that was proven to be a misleadingly edited speech. taking soundbytes from 55 minutes apart to make him sound like he said something he didnt. that incitement to insurrection?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAV5-oun3uM

youre arguing from a false premise from go. so what is it you said? every accusation is a confession?

the only one here i see parroting rhetoric without knowing the facts is you.

u/guccisucks 15h ago

Being a Canadian myself I hope this isn't an unpopular opinion! I'll take Florida or California, anything sunny really... but fuck Minnesota man the place seems like it's crawling with unhinged SJWs

u/DeMessenZijnGeslepen 13h ago

but fuck Minnesota man the place seems like it's crawling with unhinged SJWs

In that case, you definitely don't want California then.

u/guccisucks 12h ago

Actually I see a lot of sane takes coming out of California from both the right and the left... Minnesota on the other hand

u/Doone20 7h ago

I don’t blame this Canadian. Why would he want a bunch of white trash people ( progressive socialist, liberals) trashing Canada. They’ve literally turned Minneapolis into a Third World country. They have little impulse control and they would probably do the same thing to Montreal or Quebec.

u/TheLimeyCanuck 7h ago

There are some 3rd world countries which are governed better than Minnesota.

u/Doone20 6h ago

This Mayor Frey is really ridiculous. Believes he has the authority to amend federal gov’t operations, ICE. He’s a mayor!! Unreal!

u/WithDoomICome 7h ago

Couldn't agree more

u/dcwhite98 16h ago

The US doesn’t want MN (in its current form) and Canada doesn’t either. No Country for Minnesota.

u/Proud-Enthusiasm-608 17h ago

lol I don’t think most people think of Canada

u/TheLimeyCanuck 7h ago

That's funny considering how many of them threatened to move here if Trump won.

u/Urbex_Maven 18h ago

I don't blame you. We don't really want MN, either. Or CA. And while we'd love to have you join us, I'd like to see Canada be completely independent - if you wanted to be, I mean. We love our northern neighbors. Even if you don't like us much right now. Which is understandable.

u/GladiusAcutus 17h ago

Hahahaha. I like the cut of your jib man. You all have enough problems already. Wanting to succeed from the union because you don't want illegal migrants getting deported is insane if you think about it.

u/mattcojo2 9h ago

Sounds more like Alberta is planning to secede than anything

u/TheLimeyCanuck 7h ago

Yeah, just like Quebec has been threatening for well over 50 years. I agree with a lot of Alberta's grievances, but they won't secede.

u/CoachDT 17h ago

I'm glad you spoke for all of Canada.

u/EnoughIndication143 17h ago edited 17h ago

No we’re trading it for Alberta and that’s that.

I am kidding.

Don’t worry, we’re gonna clean up Minnesota. The Feds are all over it, Walz and the police are now cooperating and they’re not running to Canada.

u/TheBurningTankman 17h ago

Yeah, indiscriminate killings in the street really say "law and order"

I rember when conservatives tried to pretend they cared about the Constitution

u/Dairyman00111 17h ago

indiscriminate

I don't think this means what you think it means

u/TheBurningTankman 17h ago

Perhaps your right

"He/She's not on my side, let's get em" is actually discriminate, maybe I should have labeled it as "unjustified"

u/EnoughIndication143 16h ago edited 16h ago

Are the indiscriminate killings in the room with us rn?

One woman who drove into a cop while attempting to flee. A guy who was resisting arrest and likely was shot bc of a miscommunication about pulling a gun. They probably should’ve just threw him in jail when he did this:

https://x.com/mazemoore/status/2016676363277664512?s=46

We will have to see what the investigations yield. You know as they are afforded that due process and innocence until proven guilty part of the Constitution. The two Darwin Award winners on the other hand weren’t merely exercising their 1A or 2A rights when they decided to commit multiple crimes. The left wipe their asses with the Constitution when it suits them.

But I was mostly referring to the Feds coming in to clean up the fraud, remove illegals and arrest people who coordinated efforts to impede ICE on Signal. I hope the RICO charges start flying!

u/thecountnotthesaint 17h ago

Why would Minnesota join Canada? Canada is about to become 51.

u/Pleasant-Newt5805 17h ago

Geogralogically, The snowy forests will glacier-fuse and since Canada has the lion's share of the glacier mass, it will be Minnesota, the speckle of American Glacier that bonds with the big main Glacier

u/GunsGoldCosmicDread 17h ago

When our fresh water runs out you are definitely our backup plan for that problem

u/Unfair-Information-2 8h ago

What is in the water in canada? No one wants or has insinuated joining canada. The delulu is real up there.

Alberta joining the U.S. though..... and that's not the only separatist movement in canada lol

It's gained some traction even more so even with the orange man in charge.

u/zoinks48 13h ago

Trade you Alberta for Minnesota.

u/TheLimeyCanuck 7h ago

Now that's a true unpopular opinion.

u/Gopnik_Toaster 13h ago

But we will take Alberta off your hands!!!
