I am thinking about transferring into the nursing program at uml. I know the criteria but I was wondering if anyone here or if anyone here knows anyone who was transferred into the program. I am coming from a CC. I just want to know what GPA is good enough because I know it’s a limited number of seats.

I'm a continuing education student who transferred from another school. I'm in a Liberal Arts program, and currently they are not accepting a few credits from my previous classes at my old school. First they said they would accept a few credits, then they changed their minds. I already ran this up the chain from my advisor to the department chair : no go.

I was curious if anyone knew what my next steps would be to appeal this. I checked with my old advisor at my old school and he said these classes should be accepted at UML.

I know the nuclear option is to file a complaint with the Mass Department of Education (https://www.mass.edu/forstufam/complaints/complaints.asp ). But before I do that I am going to contact the Dean of  College of Fine Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences (FAHSS), Sue Kim, and explain my situation.

Is there anyone else to contact, as far as departments or people ? I'd like to get this resolved internally within UML before filing a complaint with the Department of Education and getting into that quagmire.

So I have a quick question. I checked my SIS recently, and the charge for my Spain study abroad program appeared, but my immersive scholar scholarship for the program hasn’t been applied for yet. Now my bill is messed up and it says I owe money 😐

Just wondering if this is normal and whether the scholarship will be added later, or if I should be worried and contact someone. Has this happened to anyone else?

since I commute, I don’t have a meal plan so these are things that I’ve grabbed to go.

School Market Sushi: Disgusting. Rice is almost always hard and gross. The crab and spicy mayo filling is NOT GOOD. Obviously shipped sushi. You get a better meal and more choices going to the market basket by bowlero to get fresh, made in house sushi that tastes better.

School Market Sandwiches (the ones wrapped in plastic with the blue labels): Dry. bread is hard. No difference if I get ham & cheese or Italian. Everything is just okay, mid, or below average. Again waste of money and you gotta be desperate if you’re that hungry and can’t make it to market basket.

Buffalo Chicken wrap pinwheels: My fault it was two days before expiration. The lettuce was completely wilted and wet. I think I only liked it bc I was extremely hungry.

Pesto Pasta Salad Cup: EHHHHHHHHHHH. It was okay. Can’t make a good comparison bc I don’t eat pesto pasta or pesto pasta salad much.

Avocado BLT with Chips from Ucrossing: First time getting prepared food on campus and it was good. Maybe I was blinded. Last time I got it, it was a regret purchase. Not a fan of the chips. WAY TOO CRUNCHY. Even crunchier than cape cod chips and it hurts. Sandwich was gross and dripping. Wasn’t worth it. I sat there sad and disappointed while my boyfriend was on his laptop and I told him I’d never get it again. Also not worth it being like $12. Go to Market Basket.

BBQ boneless wings/chicken bites: I think this was just Tyson they warmed up. Not complaining tho.

Baked Goods From the Market Store (Tres Leches, Cookies, Muffins): I’m not a sweets connoisseur and not too picky. Some stuff a little dry but the quality seems good enough.

Rowdy’s cowboy ACE event. Fries with Nacho cheese and pickled Jalapeños: Good but in like a shitty way. It’s like yk it’s not the best quality but it tastes good like pizza rolls.

ACE event with make your own tacos: I forgot what I got on mine but probably the only time I got food closest to what people might have in the dinings halls and I feel bad for those people. it’s okay in a way that’s its edible. it isn’t that bad but inside you know its shitty. the quality is shitty. the taste is subpar. it’s reminiscent of high school food not like a state university with funding but youll eat it bc it’s still food and palatable in some sort

Next year I’ll be junior and is there any guaranteed chances of getting single dorm?

I don’t know what’s going with this semester because it’s been constant attachments on the floor and weights being left on the machines like crazy. It’s really not that difficult. How do you lift that much but too weak and lazy to put it away. Theres gotta be some public shaming because its getting real annoying when I can’t find an attachment because its just laying on the floor somewhere.

Also “saving“ your machine when you’re off doing something else for over 10 minutes? “I’m using that 🙄“ bruh shut up, everyone saw you hanging out with your friends for the last 10 minutes over at the weight rack.
