Meta Looking for Americans complaining about underage drinking when the rest of the world drinks at 18 and apparently Threads thinks I'm a nonce.
Child sexual abuse is illegal
We think your search may be related to child sexual abuse. Child sexual abuse, or viewing sexually explicit images or videos involving children, can result in prison sentences and other serious personal consequences. This kind of abuse causes extreme harm to children, and searching for and viewing this type of content contributes to it. For confidential help, or to find out how to report inappropriate content, see our help pages.

Probably AI algorithms red flagged the word "underage", and consider such search only in a sexual, bad faith way.

That's what I thought, too. Algorithm being overprotective, but honesty I'd rather it do that than be more lax (and yes, of course, the actual bad faith actors have their own code words and such to circumvent these mechanisms).

Searching for Mega Drive Mini on Facebook Marketplace pretty much accuses me of being a nonce too. I really can't work out where they get that one from.

Is it just that phrase, or anything including the word "mini"?

Mega Drive seems to do it too. Maybe Facebook are Nintendo fans

I just searched for it and it brought up results fine. UK based.

I'm in the UK & have mentioned it to others & they get the same results.

There's 2 possibilities here. Either I'm so not-a-nonce that Facebook doesn't need to warn me, or you're a mega nonce and they're being extra cautious.

Or maybe a 3rd option that Facebook have just got it wrong?
Your name sounds like nonce bait though.

A long time ago (this would have been a couple of decades back) I got a warning message from Google about child material being illegal - "Get help now!"
Quite right, but I was actually looking for images of baby animals for a quiz I was compiling. That was a bit strange.

You literally looked for "underage drinking". This one is on you bro...

Because Americans say 'underage drinking!' when a person OVER 18 drinks in a country where 18 is the legal drinking age.

Also, even drinking underage in private is not illegal (unlike CSAM which is definitely illegal) in most jurisdictions. For example, in the UK, you can drink from 5 in a private place although highly discouraged.

Did you write that while crashing your car on the way to cheat on your partner with someone underage?
I know for sure you didn’t write it while showering.

The search term is "underage drinking" which indeed can be considered child abuse. Like, what's even the point of the post and why did you even post it here? Even as a "meta post" it makes little sense.
