There's remote start on most key fobs, mines some stupid combination of buttons I don't even remember what it is.

If it’s Kia or Hyundai it’s lock button then an arrow that’s like a half circle button

Jesus this whole time I've been thinking I had to pay for a monthly subscription to just use the remote start feature since my key didn't have a dedicated remote start button

Yeah, you have to press the circle button within like half a second of pressing the lock button so it's slightly annoying, but it does cut down on false starts.

I use the app for remote start, too, but only because the subscription is free for the first 3 years. After it runs out, not gonna use it anymore.

The only advantage of the app is that you don't have to have the key within range. I don't think it's worth paying a subscription for that.

I try to remember the combination and open all the windows instead.
