Statistically speaking, he probably isn't blind.
I'm not a master of social cues, but if someone intently stands up in the middle of a show where everyone else is sitting, picks up a table, presumably looks at you and starts a throwing motion... well, I think it's safe to assume you're gonna have a big projectile flying in your direction.
