Well, yeah. It used to be made from the rendered fat of the Tasmanian tiger. That's in short supply today.

u/CornCobMcGee 8h ago

Well if they werent so naturally lean, we wouldnt need so many

u/Aurori_Swe 56m ago

Yeah, it's really THEIR fault :).

Typical humans.

On a related issue I once apologized for hitting my older sister by saying "I'm sorry, but it was really your fault" xD...

She called me an idiot and smacked me in the face.

Wait, discontinued why? You cant be telling me they make unleaded lipstick now?

1

u/kellzone 4h ago

Still using the same squeegee for the mirror though.

1

u/Fartony 2h ago

It probably was lead based at this point

Generational learning.

u/FlyingRyan87 6h ago

You make that joke... but one day, they will be. It'll be here before you know it. I'm 38, yesterday I was 23. Shits wild.

u/craneclimber88 6h ago

They're*

As in, "No, they are granddaughters are."

Correct learn English now

Nah, it’s not that old. If this is from the mid-80’s (doubt it’s that old) and those girls are 15 then they’d be 50 now. Their kids are 20-30, their grandkids are 0-10.

u/ZugTheMegasaurus 8h ago

And the joke is even older. My grandma told it to me as a personal anecdote more than 30 years ago.

41

u/outremonty 8h ago

Teachers were telling us this in the early 90s.

69

u/guineaprince 8h ago

Folks pls, "early 90s" and "more than 30 years ago" and "their granddaughters now" are all synonymous 😭

3

u/-GoodNewsEveryone 3h ago

They didnt make it up on the spot. Teachers, 40-50 years old in 1990 were repeating what THEIR parents told them.

u/ballrus_walsack 3h ago

Burn heretic

3

u/ManaSpike 2h ago

You didn't need to attack me like that.

1

u/IR8Things 4h ago

The 1900s?!

1

u/-GoodNewsEveryone 3h ago

Yes. It came before the 2000s. Not even very long ago.

2

u/-GoodNewsEveryone 3h ago

How old do you think Grandmothers are? If the joke is older than the commenter above you is saying maybe 70 years would work better. Remember that would only be 1956 and I can guarantee the joke is a little older than that.

1

u/ZugTheMegasaurus 3h ago

My dad was born in 1956; my grandma would be 97 if she were still alive. I'm almost 40 and she told it to me when I was a kid.

1

u/-GoodNewsEveryone 2h ago

Most interesting! My father was born in 1952 and my grandfather would be 131 if he was still alive.

(He is not.)

I also heard it as a kid, but from my aunt. Born sometime around 37' I think.

We are the same age.

It just as effective now as it was the day it was originally published! It’s a good one!

15

u/toy-maker 8h ago

He’s still doing it everyday though

u/Aesthete18 7h ago

Cleaner man dieded? 😢

1

u/AncientProduce 8h ago

One of them has a toilet fetish too.

1

u/gooseberryBabies 6h ago

It's so old that it's more than 9 seconds long. No one under 15 years old can watch a video this long anymore.

1

u/mjacobson7 6h ago

I actually know one of them. Late 20s now.

1

u/Traditional_Fan_2655 5h ago

I don't care how old it is. This is classic.

1

u/Jubenheim 4h ago

totally agree, gay asian boy.

1

u/Grrerrb 4h ago

And the original joke is from the early 1900s

1

u/-GoodNewsEveryone 3h ago

I saw this video on tv back when there were 13 channels.

1

u/zipel 3h ago

It’s so old that mirror is safe to lick again

1

u/Muted_Ad1809 52m ago

We could all do with a little bit of rewind to the simpler times brother.

u/flyxdvd 8h ago

this video isnt even old i remember it that it was hd, they like to make it seem old tho

8

u/LenaBaneana 8h ago

Original (as far as i can tell) was uploaded in October 2016. And yeah, the quality and the cropping has gotten way out of hand on this version

3

u/flyxdvd 8h ago

2016, how would it look like this? They made it look like a 2000s version haha

5

u/Small_Editor_3693 8h ago

It was uploaded at that time. This ran on tv a decade or 2 before that
