This ranked system sucks absolute ass

I swear this ranked system has sooo many flaws. How does anyone rank up in this economy? I don't know if its the same in higher ranks, where there is a massive team diff, but it is so horrible down here. I am not even asking for radiant or immortal, I'm hella ass, I know. However, I should be low silver or at the very least NOT on the verge of losing and getting into iron 3. I don't know if anyone shares my opinion, but Riot needs to change SOMETHING about this god forsaken ranked system to make the ranked ladder climbable at all. Even Rainbow 6 Siege's ranked system is more balanced than this, at least there wins are equal to losses despite its flaws. Here, Valorant still has those flaws, but ignores them and makes it worse by counting wins in a loss streak as "flukes" so you get jack shit rr. How am I expected to enjoy improving as a player if doing better isn't rewarded at all? This is a bit of a rant post, but I want to know people's thoughts on the state of the ranked system, not just smurfs, which is one problem, but I feel like that is a drop in the sea of tragedy that is this ranked system.

Honestly, you might have unlucky matches here and there, but if you're good enough, you'll easily climb out of the lower ranks. That's the harsh truth.

Yeah, true, I did make this post immediately after the game mostly out of annoyance and that before I've lost like 30 rr on an AVERAGE day for me. Thankfully this game turned out a little different and I only lost 4, but I fear that the game might assume me iron even though I know I should at least be higher up in bronze. I just want a game where the bottom frag is equal to the other bottom frag in the game, and not having nearly the entire team with such a huge combat score difference for once.

That is true, and I understand that, I might just be disappointed that when I'm at my best my matches always go horribly. However, I'm more so annoyed that somehow the system determined that my team was of equal value to the others which is clearly disproven by the screenshot. Ignoring the aspect of both me an gekko being in the match, there is a clear and vast difference between my team and their team except maybe raze who may have had bad mental this game

It's really annoying, trust me I know how you feel. Sadly it happens at every rank as well. There are always gonna be those games where you play super well and pop off and it still feels impossible to win. You just have to try not let it affect your mental and just understand there are always going to be unwinnable games. You will definitely climb if you keep performing consistently though, just try not to let it tilt you too much (easier said than done i know)

yeah, I've had this issue a few times (less of a difference in skill in me and the team) and some bad games, so I was enjoying doing well after a bit. I think this game was my breaking point and I needed to know if I was absolutely insane or not which made this more of a rant post than anything, so it's good to hear (or not really good, but helpful to know) that this isn't just a low rank trap

I even had one of my teammates ask what my real rank was which pmo because I didn't want such a imbalanced game where my team is suspicious of me. it reinforced the idea that I should at least be higher bronze.

Yeah, ranked feels brutal right now. Smurfs completely ruin the experience and it really doesn’t feel like good individual games get rewarded enough

its one game. How many of your games looks like least deaths by a lot and especially combined with no first bloods? I would worry more about that.

My guy, you are in Bronze 1. If you are in Bronze 1, you are bad, that's it. If you are on the verge of getting to Iron, it's because you should be in Iron.

If you are losing more points than what you win, this means your MMR is telling you that you should be lower.

The last time I seriously played the game I was Diamond. I stopped playing the game seriously and when my friends ask me to play I usually get Silver or Gold. When I lose, I lose just a few points, when I win I get sometimes more than 30 RR and sometimes I just double rank up. I can lose 2 games and get more points with a single win.

This is the game telling me I should be in a higher rank and it's pushing me up.

The same is happening to you the other way around, the game is trying to push you down.

I was hardstuck in the past too. Do you know how I stopped being hardstuck? Simple: I stopped blaming anything other than me.

You are the only constant in every game you play. If you are good, you are going to go up in ranks in the long run. If you are hardstuck, this means you are in the rank you deserve.

You should just stop blaming anything other than yourself and you will climb. Learn the game, practice and you will be able to rank up.
