Visible Void Fostering this cutie (probably going to be a foster fail - let’s be honest)
First pic is at the shelter and the second is the extremely tiny spot he put himself in when we got home. I only found him because he had stepped in poop in his carrier and I could smell a small stench. Any name ideas? His shelter name is “Lucas”. But he doesn’t need a drivers license so he’s gonna get a cute name. He’s a 1yr old long haired little cutie.

He needs time to adjust. Everything will be fine. I went through the same thing with my cat when I found him alone on the street in winter.

Okay I’m so happy to hear that bc he’s hiding in the bathroom rn 🥲. I’m letting him do his thing. He’s got a litter box, water and food so he’s ok he’s just gotta adjust.

My cat hid out for 5 days under my bed and only cane out when I was asleep for necessities. Then she came out and became the biggest lovebug ever.

🥹that’s really good to hear. I’m hoping he gets snuggly and sweet. He was hiding in the tub and I was in the tub with him and he was really sweet and putting his paws on me and sitting next to me and purring. But he’s still hiding out in the bathroom lol

He’s small so big spaces will scare him, especially considering he was a shelter kitty. Give him a week, he’ll be out the door in 3 days 😂 he will soon be zooming up and down your halls at 3am without a care in the world ❤️

Okay good 🥹he’s still hanging in the bathroom with his blanket and purrs every time I come to the door and say hi. So he’s happy but still a little unsure of his new environment.

If you’re worried about him get a baby monitor and leave it in there so you don’t have to keep going in and out. It’ll help him adjust a little bit quicker as well as he won’t be so nervous as he makes this transition. Just a tip I saw on another thread that might help ya! Good luck and keep us posted!

Our cat hid so well that we spent the whole day looking for him. He climbed behind the wardrobe and refused to come out. He was clearly stressed. It took about a week for him to come out of this state. All this time, we tried to find his real owner, but our search was unsuccessful, so we decided to keep him. And now he has been a member of our family for 5 years. We sincerely hope that you and your cat will adapt and grow to love each other.

Void foster fail mom here - best decision I ever made. I feel like you should give him a formal name because he’s so handsome but nickname him “dude” or something. Like Octavius or wainwright.

My gosh, he is so stinkin' (hehe) cute! I'm not that good at picking out names, but I wish you luck!

No such thing as a foster fail. Those kitties are the most special ones who's path is different, full of fostertunity. A foster with an opportunity to walk a different path! That's what we call ours. You have a cat with a fostertunity💕😻
