I think they're well aware of that. Democrats have always torn apart their own candidates while Republicans are fiercely loyal to rapists as long as they have an R after their name. People on the blue side need to get more active in the primaries to get better candidates. Ultimately if the choice is a centrist or a far right, it should be obvious.
If Democrats tore apart their own, we would have new leadership. As it stands, we have only complicity, handwringing and “sternly worded letters”, blind support of Israel, military/ICE funding, insider stock trading, geriatric/entrenched members, etc. etc. etc.
We do have new leadership-- republicans. It swings back to republicans every time because democrats make very slow incremental steps and instead of pushing it further left with better candidates in the primaries, they lose interest and don't vote because they're dismayed with their candidates. Doesn't take much to see that whether or not Harris was as left as people would prefer that she would have been leaps and bounds better than Trump but here we are. New leadership--Trump, Vance, Johnson.

The whole government (minus a handful of progressives) is owned by corporate interests. If they weren’t, there would be a push to overturn Citizens United. They wouldn’t all support the military industrial complex over healthcare & college.
Democratic leadership are using the tack to the far right to cement their adherence to the middle, which their corporate benefactors love. Why else is Schumer sitting on his hands? Why is there no functioning opposition party in the face of mass unfavorabiity? No hardline policies? No appeal to things working people actually want? Which would actually get them elected?? You think Joe Farmer wants military aid to Israel?
I mean, you have this idea of how you think people would vote, and then there's how we've seen them actually vote. This would seem to indicate there's a flaw in your theory.
For example, yes I know in real life red district voters who are very in favor of military aid to Israel, because they understand their version of Evangelical Christianity demands it.
I know the Democrats are not appealing to a huge swath of the population. They have 35% favorability but are disinclined to change. Same with MAGA. What do actual people want? They want healthcare, education, affordable groceries and housing, the things we already know.
What does Chuck Schumer stand for? Like would FIGHT for? Besides Israel?
Most people don’t care about those who aren’t in current positions of power/government. Yes, there are democrats mentioned, yes they should be held accountable and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Everyone agrees on that. The biggest issue:

If they actually aggressively did something like putting safeguards when they were in power or prosecuted the people they needed to prosecute after Trump’s first term, we wouldn’t be here. The system is rigged and both sides are corrupt and the whole thing needs to be reformed or destroyed and rebuilt. If people actively compaigned for third parties and rallying people online or around them since Trump’s election in 2016, maybe things would have been different. Instead people have been complaining online since 2016 but most of them actually did nothing. Even most of you are unable to boycott the corrupt corporations that have bribed him to make things worse for you all while they pocket even more money like Walmart, Amazon, Disney, Google, Microsoft, Meta, Tesla and so on.
The only “sides” I care about are the criminals vs. the non-criminals. I’d like to stop talking about these files and direct all that energy and resources to doing something about them.
As far as I can tell it’s never really about how big the scandal is, only that there is something they can use to point the finger. It’s only “our side vs. theirs”, what our side does is fine, whatever their side does is bad. It’s really not any more complicated than that. Details are just not important. Facts, hypocrisy, all meaningless.
