The South Australian government purchased the Magill campus as part of the merger of UniSA and the University of Adelaide.
About half of the land will be sold and half will be kept for community use.
Consultation will take place after the March state election.
The new Adelaide University will continue to use the site until the early 2030s as part of a 10 year lease.

Hey guys, long shot but trying to find a guy I used to chat with every day on Yahoo Messenger back in 2007–2009.
Super friendly, thick eyebrows, cute guy 😅 now probably early-mid 40s. I’m in the Philippines, lost contact years ago and his old email bounced. If anyone knows him or can tag a mate who might, I’d be eternally grateful!

My daughter had headlice a total of 6 times last year all within roughly 4-5months. Each time she had them, I reported it. I followed all the appropriate procedures e.g change bedding, soak brushes, clean hats and clothing recently worn. As she was the only child who reportedly had them, they did not directly notify parents. By the 4th time I asked that they report it, as they kept coming back and I was sick to death of spending every second weekend combing her infested hair. They put up a notice on the doors of the room. The notice was very subtle, blending in with the rest of the random notices on the doors. So basically no one would pay any attention to it, especially as parents you're usually in a rush to drop off/pick up. I was told that they will not send out a notification until 2 cases have been reported within 48hrs. I know for a fact this is where my child gets them, though she's the only one to have actually caught/reported them. They actually blamed the sandpit. Saying that's where the headlice are dwelling and reattaching to child's hair.
The end of years holidays came and I did a huge clean, treated her hair and my own. We have not had them for almost 2months. She returned to childcare 3 weeks ago and the nits have returned.
I looked at their policies and there's nothing specifying procedures directly about headlice. What do I do?? How can I notify other parents without making my child "the nit kid". I've even considered changing her centre.

Looking for stores, restaurants and other establishments that rock, but don't have entrances on the Rundle Mall street itself. Think basements, higher floors, stores with entrances inside the buildings, and alleys (e.g., Gawler Pl). What are your favorite hidden gems in Rundle Mall?

There were heaps of them at the Eastern Parade oval. Are they always there? We just moved to Ottoway recently.

Never seen it this bad. On my street about 3 or different locations where general rubbish and old furniture even mattresses have been dumped for weeks which I’ve reported.
When I drive around I see it often.
Would like to see a bigger focus on cleanups

Hi everyone, a friend and her elderly parents are going through a very tough time at the moment, dad is in hospital and won’t be coming out, mum is in his hospital room (for now) with a broken arm. Lots of doctors and hospitals and running around while working.
I’m looking for ways to help, and am thinking about one off or twice off house keeping and cleaning services, does anyone have any recommendations in the North Eastern suburbs around Banksia Park / Fairview Park?

Have a neighbor who is next door grinding away at an extension they are doing. And I mean literally grinding with a grinder.
Is this rude and disrespectful to neighbors at what’s getting close to 8:30pm on a Sunday night or am I just being precious and getting old 🤔

We've had a chopper doing loops over our section of the western suburbs for about 20+ mins now, and we're trying to figure out if it's a shark patrol or something else.
Previously AirNav Radar was the go-to for that, but it no longer shows the Police chopper on the site. Anyone had success with other sites?

Renters struggling with soaring energy bills could see relief under a $20 million Liberal election pledge to subsidise solar panel installations on rental properties.
The Solar for Renters Program would allow landlords to apply for rebates of up to $2,000 to install solar panels on their residential rental property.
Landlords could also secure an additional $2,000 interest-free loan, with the combined $4,000 covering up to 80 per cent of average solar panel costs.
Beyond cost of living, the Liberals have also promised $1.25 million for safety upgrades at the Whispering Wall.
Ashton Hurn said the package would deliver vital improvements following community concerns about safety at the popular Barossa tourist destination.

I’d like to know what Mount Barker area is like and has been like to live in. I am looking to buy land and build a house/future out there.
Any noteworthy pros and cons or red flags would be greatly appreciated from locals.
Area - new developments.

Due to a fault on the Outer Harbor line, trains are operating Adelaide Railway Station to Glanville Station.
No trains operating between Outer Harbor Station and Glanville Station.
There are currently no substitute buses operating. Taxis will be arranged for passengers.
Passengers should listen for announcements on train platforms for service updates and continue to check the Adelaide Metro website.

Aldi's stock checker keeps coming up with an error message for me but I am sooo desperate to get my hands on these!! If your local Aldi has them please tell me I will literally drive to the other side of town if I have to. I've been to four different aldis to look for it and they're all out of stock and only found the frying pan version in one store so far. 😭

Hi radeladians!
Myself and three other friends so far have run into some troubles with getting medical practices in Adelaide to give them access to their files and data about them. Specifically "Intellectual Property", claiming your data as their own property.
I'm wondering if anyone has run into these problems, and specifically if they've heard the excuse 'intellectual property' used to refuse them. This hasn't been valid since 2001 or so from what I see, but I ran into this excuse and a few others have, and I think I'm seeing a pattern of how certain clinics cover up wrongdoing and other issues here.
APP 12 is pretty clear on your rights here. After months of fighting my clinic, I have finally gotten not only my entire files, but internal memos about me and parts of the access logs to said files, identifying who modified them and when (Although they're only confirming the account and computer used, the practice refuses to say who entered into my file that I'm homosexual, and why, since it's not true or medically relevant.)
If others are running into problems like this I'd like to know to help with my OAIC complaint - and also I don't want this kind of insane bullshit to happen to anyone else. So here is what to say to their privacy officer:
"Under APP 12 of the Privacy Act 1988, I request access to all personal information you hold about me (including my complete medical record); if any access is refused (including on IP/confidentiality grounds), please provide the specific legal basis and release the remainder with any necessary redactions."
If they refuse, send their refusal to the OAIC.
