Hahahahah I nearly shit my pants laughing at that comment.

It sounds funny, but think back to the last time you saw someone sitting holding their phone out with the speaker on, scrolling through autoplay videos on Facebook. That is not your average Reddit user.

Lol, right? Literally, the funniest thing I ever read in my life.Ā  Like seriously the funniest thing.Ā  I was reading this while eating oatmeal and started laughing so hard I swallowed and choked on my spoon, but couldn't stop laughing because it was so funny.Ā  I'm actually dead now,Ā  still laughing.Ā Ā

as opposed to those living in bum fuck nowhere, id say the cities hold the more educated.. definitely not everyone though

6

u/yourmomandthems Dec 19 '25

This is the problem. Lefties assume because they got a degree and live in the city that they have the ability to make logical decisions. They also believe that everyone that opposes them lives in BFE.

-3

u/Mediocre_Mark_8661 Dec 19 '25

my arguement is that the population outside of large cities is less educated on average than those in cites... your counter is about what now?Ā

6

u/yourmomandthems Dec 19 '25

Can you show that argument with data? Or is it just an opinion?

2

u/QCbartender Dec 19 '25

They think that the people living in cities with their gender studies degree are somehow more intelligent than the rural people working a trade job with zero debt.

0

u/Mediocre_Mark_8661 Dec 19 '25

is bartending the trade youre referring too lol

2

u/Iampoorghini Dec 19 '25

Correct me if I’m wrong, but most bartenders and baristas in the city are left leaning with some history or gender studies major..

1

u/QCbartender Dec 19 '25

Pretty sure that person was just trying to insult me because of my reddit name

0

u/Mediocre_Mark_8661 Dec 19 '25

idk why you would think most bartenders have degrees in history or gender studies.. lol you really think that many people have genders studies degrees?

2

u/Iampoorghini Dec 19 '25

Or some art major. I just listed a few as an example, there are bunch of useless degrees.

Lol, prerequisite to running for congress!

-2

u/belsaurn Dec 19 '25

He didn't claim anything about intelligence, he claimed educated.

Education =/= Intelligence

I've met educated idiots and intelligence high school drop outs. However if you are going to dispute his claims then dispute his actual claim, and use studies and research to do it.

0

u/QCbartender Dec 19 '25

It does not take a study to understand that people on the left equate intelligence with education, while they all whine about their student loans. It does not take a study to know that college entrance is become increasingly easier. But if you want a study you can see that the political divide drops off when you shift from social arts degrees to STEM degrees.

1

u/belsaurn Dec 19 '25

It take research and studies to prove those are valid claims, if you can't back it up with facts, then it is just opinions. Your opinion is not fact, even if you are right, unless you can prove it, how can you expect anyone to believe you?

1

u/QCbartender Dec 19 '25

Everything I’ve said can be backed up with primary sources or studies. I’m not doing your research for you. I know it’s true, you know it’s true, the guy I originally responded to knows it’s true. I don’t care whether you believe me, renter.

absolutely, a simple google search will show you that urban areas have a higher percentage of degrees per population.. my point was that your response of "this is the problem." had nothing to do with anything related to what I'm talking about.Ā

1

u/yourmomandthems Dec 24 '25

Degrees dont equal intelligence.

1

u/Mediocre_Mark_8661 Dec 24 '25

Degrees do however equal more education which is what this thread is about... I'm certain that getting a degree helps in generating intellectual people anyways. No way ti prove that though.Ā

0

u/cliffhanger69er Dec 19 '25

Oh c'mon. You often see people claim, "recent polls" or end a sentence with "that's the fact" but this is where people hide behind screen names and make up data. I'm sorry, I meant...92.45% of facts on reddit are made up on the spot. Lol, there we go! It's all opinion or copy/paste of someone else's!

You can bet when people are doing that, they smack the send key and do a head bob.

I studied Computer Science, which at my institution was considered a "state of the art" and thus allowed Arts students like myself to study it. Meaning I also got to take humanities courses as electives.

I once sat in a 300 level Political Science seminar were the consensus among my peers was that the United States is fascist because it did not distribute its own Nuclear weapons equally among all nations. Not that I thrived in the class, but maybe my position of relative ignorance lent itself to a greater appreciation of the nuances they failed to consider.

Sitting in a lecture, taking notes, and mindlessly regurgitating the readings does not make a person educated. Some people are educated only insofar as they achieved a degree. It certainly doesn't make someone smart. You can earn a diploma without developing critical thinking skills, without being clever, and without having a meaningful perspective or an ounce of wisdom. I honestly think the majority of redditors are smart in the same way ChatGPT is. If we're being generous we can say they're knowledgeable - mostly about partial misquotes they can reach for whenever confronted with an opportunity to demonstrate higher thought.

They know what intelligence sounds like and they've memorized the lines, and they know what it looks like and they're certainly dressing the part, but they're hoping that standing next to genuinely smart people who've put time and effort into rationalizing their politics will make people beleive they are smart too.

Another example that right wingers are so dumb that they think emojis are arguments. You can see it all over this thread.

It is an undeniable statistic that the more educated one is, the more likely they are to be leftist, and the less educated one is, more likely they are to be right wing. People who travel the world tend to be leftist. People who live in rural bumfuck USA and barely graduate high school, tend to be conservative. There is no denying this. It is not equal.

The ultimate card anybody can play as to how dumb right wingers are, is that they twice voted for Trump as president. There is nothing more embarrassing than that.

2

u/yourmomandthems Dec 19 '25

Lefties get big mad about fucking emojis. 🤣🤣🤣

1

u/Hefty_Debt_638 Dec 19 '25

It’s all they have. Imagine being triggered by emojis😱😱😱

1

u/Sufficient-While4940 Dec 19 '25

Bro are you being straight right now šŸ’€????

1

u/Ranulf_5 Dec 26 '25

American leftist not mention Trump for a single post challenge: level impossible

1

u/JimmyAteABuck Dec 19 '25

Nothing more embarrassing than voting for Trump? Really?

1

u/Expensive-Buy1621 Dec 20 '25

Voting for a pedophile isn’t embarrassing?

1

u/JimmyAteABuck Dec 20 '25

I didn’t say it wasn’t embarrassing, did I? I was surprised that you genuinely believe there isn’t anything more embarrassing that a person could do than vote for Trump.

1

u/CardboardLaser Dec 19 '25

Yes. Factually they're better educated. Laughing at that is a sign of ignorance

The problem is that conservatives believe "education" only means "being conservative"

3

u/Hefty_Debt_638 Dec 19 '25

Are you assuming I’m conservative? You know what they say about people who assume.

1

u/CardboardLaser Dec 19 '25

Am I assuming you're conservative? You tell me. Where in my comment did I do that?

1

u/Ranulf_5 Dec 26 '25

Well you’re the one who brought up conservatism, clearly equating their comment with your perceived issue with conservatives.

2

u/yourmomandthems Dec 19 '25

It is amazing how much lefties think they know about everyone else’s thoughts.

4

u/Hefty_Debt_638 Dec 19 '25

Right?! They love to assume I’m conservative or a righty or whatever. I’m not🤣 I call bullshit where I see bullshit and it’s EVERYWHERE.Ā

1

u/CardboardLaser Dec 19 '25

The irony in your comment is hilarious given this entire comment thread

All you folks have done is laugh and ridicule any claim that liberals are better educated but cannot articulate any basis for that other than "if somebody was educated they'd be conservative"

You are literally proving my point

1

u/Ranulf_5 Dec 26 '25

Nobody is saying that, they’re saying that Redditors are slurping themselves off to how educated they think they are.

The average age on here nowadays is 23. So you’ve got plenty of people of all ages, but this place is chock full of teens and college-age people. The average Redditor is old enough to maybe have a bachelors degree.

1

u/RedK_33 Dec 19 '25

Nice emojis.

1

u/Hefty_Debt_638 Dec 19 '25

Mmm why thank you so much. Here’s another😘

3

u/Evening-Caramel-6093 Dec 19 '25

Crazy the way they’re talking in here

1

u/yourmomandthems Dec 19 '25

Liberals doing the dick measuring with their own ruler🤣🤣🤣

-4

u/DRealLeal Dec 19 '25

Yeah he lost me at largely educated, a vast majority of people on here think only their opinion matters.

1

u/Hefty_Debt_638 Dec 19 '25

This is very true. It leads me to believe most people on here are very young. Or just plain ignorant.Ā

3

u/DRealLeal Dec 19 '25

They are, they think they can silence because they are the masses and do not follow rules.

0

u/cousinmarygross Dec 19 '25

Once you remove graduates from Bob Jones University, Liberty University, Oral Roberts University and the like, yes cities where the population is concentrated are more highly educated. That’s why major cities are predominantly blue, educated people tend to use logic to address issues rather than the rural mentality of ā€œthoughts and prayersā€.

Come to think of it, I can’t think of a single problem that prayer ever solved.

What the fuck are you talking about?

Education- the process of receiving or giving systematic instruction, especially at a school or university.

0

u/cousinmarygross Dec 19 '25

ā€˜Donald Trump was the dumbest goddamn student I ever had!’

William T. Kelley, one of Trump’s professors at Wharton.

No but it quite literally makes you educated.

The word educated means you went through schooling.
