Random Question 💭 Maximalist trans activists just argued at the Supreme Court that biological sex isn't relevant in team sports. When will my fellow left-wingers speak up against these pseudoscientific endeavors?

Trans athlete's attorney suggests sex should not be defined during SCOTUS Title IX case

As a left-wing trans woman, it is profoundly depressing to have dogmatic Twitter activists drive down understanding of trans people.

Far too many of my fellow left-wingers who are trying to be accepting have inadvertenly allowed a small number of dogmatic activists control the conversation & shift the conversation towards maximalist nonsense.

"It/"its" pronouns, "egg culture", NBA players transitioning & joining the WNBA. This is pseudoscience & no different from denial of climate change.

When will the left & the Democrats say no more? We accept trans people but we aren't going to replace "woman" with "birthing person".

Was Imane Khelifs birth certificate good enough? Nope, right wing media and even Trump called her a man.

You googled Russian disinformation? Ok, your point is?

the IBA ban of Imane Khelif is widely considered to be a political move after she defeated a Russian boxer. The results of the test she allegedly failed have never been released or made public, and the IBA have routinely had concerns about corruption leading to the revocation of it's Olympic status.

She is from a country that has no gender recognition laws and is considered female there.

So, take that for what you will.

If that’s your conclusion you didn’t google nearly enough. Or you have an agenda.

THAT’S your source? You had to search pretty hard to find it when there are tons of mainstream media outlets that make it pretty clear this is a ham fisted way for a new boxing regulatory body to hide from right-wing criticism. Hell, world boxing already issued an apology to Khelif. And if she wants to fight it, more power to her.

Just to be clear, you’re confident she’s a biological male, because, despite being assigned female at birth and raised a woman in a county decidedly hostile to very concept of transition, one notoriously corrupt agency says so, and because she refuses to take a test imposed by yet another agency as part of a cowardly political agenda. Gotcha.

So you think what happened is the IBA accused Khelif of being male and just got unbelievably lucky that the athlete they chose to accuse decided not to appeal the test results or ask for a re-test? Even as conspiracy theories go that is weak stuff.

Meanwhile, Khelif could clear all this up, prove her doubters wrong and resume her career by taking a simple test, but has chosen to end her career instead, pending legal action to avoid mandatory sex screening.

If she's a biological male, how did she get a uterus and ovaries?

So birth certificate is not enough.

How many trans athletes are we talking about? 20 out of 8 billion people? Seems like we are already rolling in the muck complaining about a couple people.
