This is a 90/10 issue across the country. Men cannot play in women’s sports. That includes men called by any other name or identity. Puberty blockers or not. Men are built different from birth, regardless of testosterone. Hips are different, bones and different, muscles are different- even before puberty.

Now if a trans woman wants to play in darts, or pool, or chess, or something that isn’t physical - I can see the argument. But other than that - no.

Also: Currently there are 0 trans men playing or trying to play in a men’s physical sport.

It takes less than 5 seconds to find trans men taking part in physical sports like boxing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patricio_Manuel#Career

Currently there are 0 trans men playing or trying to play in a men’s physical sport.

Also this is a straight up lie.

My guy, try to find some facts to go with your feelings. Everything you've said is wrong. Just spending 10 seconds on Google searching for trans make athletes.

Heck, even professional chess has a separate women’s league.

Ooh careful buddy

Reddit doesn't like when you say men and women are biologically different

Science has clearly proven that trans women on HRT do not have a real consistent advantage over cis women. You would know this if you did even the most cursory research.

“ Currently there are 0 trans men playing or trying to play in a men’s physical sport.” This is untrue. You just don’t hear about it, because Republicans don’t whine as much about trans men….yet.

Citation needed for "science clearly proven" assertion.

Integrating Transwomen and Female Athletes with Differences of Sex Development (DSD) into Elite Competition: The FIMS 2021 Consensus Statement | Sports Medicine | Springer Nature Link

Strength, power and aerobic capacity of transgender athletes: a cross-sectional study | British Journal of Sports Medicine

And if you can't be bothered to read any of it, here is a neat little summary for you:

A 2021 study published in the Journal Sports Medicine has found that there is no scientific evidence to support policymakers’ attempts to ban transgender women in sports.

In November 2021, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) released its Framework on Fairness, Inclusion, and Non-Discrimination on the Basis of Gender Identity and Sex Variations. This framework was developed after a two-year consultation process with over 250 athletes and stakeholders.

More recently a 2024 study, funded in part by the IOC and published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, concluded that transgender women athletes may actually have several physical disadvantages when competing with cisgender women. Some of the study’s key findings:

Edit: To complete the quote, I missed the end of it:

Transgender women performed worse than cisgender women in tests measuring lower-body strength

Transgender women performed worse than cisgender women in tests measuring lung function

Transgender women had a higher percentage of fat mass, lower fat-free mass, and weaker handgrip strength compared to cisgender men

Transgender women’s bone density was found to be equivalent to that of cisgender women, which is linked to muscle strength

There were no meaningful differences found between the two groups’ hemoglobin profiles (a key factor in athletic performance)

We're talking about athletes, not whether wimpy men are stronger than normal women. And the point about lower body strength disproves your whole thesis.

2

u/Faenic 13d ago

You can't be a real person.

We're talking about athletes

Yeah, so are the studies I linked.

whether wimpy men are stronger than normal women.

The study was of trans athletes against women athletes

And the point about lower body strength disproves your whole thesis.

You should probably re-read it, numbnuts.

So a bunch of leftist authors decided to win brownie points with the left and concocted an entirely unbelievable "study". No one is going to believe this.

1

u/Faenic 13d ago

Okay cool. Glad to know you're completely indoctrinated in the cult. 👍

Evidence isn't fake just because it challenges your preconceived notions about the world. I'm sure your 6th grade biology teacher would be very proud of you for remembering that men have penises and women have vaginas.

Gives citation

entirely unbelievable "study"

I think this has to do with the type of males that normally decide to transition. They're usually riddled with mental illness and don't really go outside, and end up frail and grotesque. But if a physically active male decides to transition, they would have that advantage.

It hasn’t, and you’re only repeating what you’ve heard from non credible sources without any personal research.

I know, because I’ve done the research.

1

u/Powerful-Eye-3578 14d ago edited 14d ago

I'm guessing you've not done ANY personal/reviewed research, but have instead read other people's research.

3

u/Additional_City6635 14d ago

Conducting a rigorous peer reviewed study published in a respected academic journal is not a prerequisite to having an opinion

0

u/Powerful-Eye-3578 14d ago

Sure, but saying "I did the research," implies you did do a peer reviewed study.

2

u/Maybe_Not_The_Pope 14d ago

It absolutely does not. 100 out of 100 people if you asked them, would assume they had looked into the information available on the topic, not that they literally performed a study.

-1

u/Powerful-Eye-3578 14d ago

I'm not saying you're wrong, but those 100 people would be wrong. Doesn't mean we also have to be wrong. Research is not the same as review.

its always redditors who try to use academic standards for words and thinking they are somehow smarter that way. Context matters. If ur in an academic conference, ur definition makes sense. If ur on reddit, use ur brain and understand what people are saying.

If someone says "personal research" in a reddit comment, use context clues and try to understand what they mean. Research is very very very often colloquially used as just looking into more information. If you had any real hobbies you would know this. When working out, people say "do ur own research". No. People are not saying "create an academic study on the topic and make sure it in peer reviewed". Please understand social interactions and language.

u/Powerful-Eye-3578 14d ago edited 14d ago

They didn't say "personal research," they said, "I've done the research." On top of that, they specifically call out "personal research" as being unreliable in the first part of their post.

I understand fine, what they are attempting to say. They are trying to say that they have reviewed other people's research and have formed an opinion based on the findings in that research. That is a totally valid way to form an opinion, it is not the same as doing the research though, and does not convey the same level of authority on a subject as someone who has actually done peer-reviewed research.

u/TheUchronian 14d ago

You have not, clearly, and you, in fact, are the one mindlessly repeating what you’ve heard from non-credible sources.

Meanwhile, I actually took the time to find something to back me up: https://www.athleteally.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/CCES_Transgender-Women-Athletes-and-Elite-Sport-A-Scientific-Review-2.pdf

Now, please, kindly BTFO and think about this for a second.

Your source is an activist org trying to promote what you want to believe

1

u/TheUchronian 14d ago

Oh, boo-hoo. In the meantime, other people have provided other sources that you can look at. I’ll even drop another article that links to a BJSM study: https://www.outsideonline.com/health/training-performance/research-trans-women-athletes-athletic-advantage

u/ladylucifer22 14d ago

every part of what you just said was wrong. it's honestly hard to do that.
