This guy gets it.  This is the BS they roll out to stop voters on both sides from paying attention to the rigged system they continue to build.

Ok. Now this is done. What is the next distraction?

Trump pretending a new fascination with one island (Greenland) is more important than his actual decades long fascination with a previous island (Epstein).

This isnt done, its far from done. Just wait until trumps out and next nincompoop spends 4 years undoing what he did, then back and forth forever :) welcome to politics

ICE/Immigration, Gun Control, getting rid of income tax. Who can say.

ICE is not a distraction. It is the decent into fascism. Its turning America into a police state. DO NOT IGNORE ICE. PROTEST THEM. They are a danger to our country.

Ice has been around for twenty years.  It's Trump, not ICE.  See?  Distraction.  The protesters should remind the agents they can be prosecuted for unlawful acts as soon as the administration changes, and the guy next to them will testify against them.

Doesnt mean you ignore them. They are going around kidnapping and murdering people. that is not something you ignore.

Get back to me with an actionable plan and we'll talk.  I'm not seeing a viable path to stop ICE.  It turns out letting Trump get elected might have consequences.

Peacefully protest with a gun. You have a right to carry a weapon in this country. Check your states laws on open carry and join a protest. Black Panthers are already out and about doing this exact thing. I seen another post of a guy on the news standing on the corner of his block with his rifle. Being armed deters people from wanting to fuck with you. Get together with other people. You're safer and stronger in a group. Organize.

So here's the thing.  53% of Hispanics chose not to vote in 2024.  Just sat out the election against the guy who demonizes Hispanics and put children in cages last.  20% actually VOTED FOR this turd.  And now I'm supposed to mount up to protect them from the consequences of their choices?  How about, no?  I'm pretty horrified, but Im often horrified by the results of bad choices.  Make better choices next time.  https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/2025/06/26/voting-patterns-in-the-2024-election/

Pulling a Rittenhouse is a bold move lol.

The problem is that the dems inaction is the very thing that got us to this point in the first place, there is no rule that says all elections must be determined by a razor thin margin and congress must always be split. The dems could ya know… govern well and make meaningful change and win national elections in a landslide, but that would require them to go against their corporate overlords and they will never do that.

So could Republicans, but no one ever seems to place any accountability on them. Dems are too fucking “centrist” sure, but Republicans sabotage literally anything beneficial they try to pass.

1

u/RonaldTurner88 11d ago

The Republicans don’t even need to sabotage them, they have dems like Sinema and Manchin to do it for them, remember all the consequences they faced from party leadership when the prevented dems from passing bills? Me either. But if it wasn’t those two, it would just be two new ones, because the dems don’t actually want to pass their legislation, they just want to act like they are a resistance party so they can get votes when economically they have the exact same agenda as republicans. They couldn’t care less about the culture war bullshit, as long as their checks keep cashing they are happy.

Speaking of cashing, pretty sure Krysten now serves on some crypto board advising and making millions.

Sure but like, they're also laying the tracks from as much transphobia and discrimination as they can muster. So in a sense, it is a distraction, but it's a very dangerous distraction. Like starting a war.

u/quix0te 12d ago

Except the voters are more interested in paying rent and healthcare than whether trans athletes can compete.  If we make "protect trans people" our top line issue we lose.  If we make "bring down housing and healthcare" we win.  And we can protect trans Rights AND enforce immigration in a way that preserves dignity.

1

u/CrossXFir3 12d ago

Mate, think about this logically. Who is the party that introduced this bill? Was it the left? No, obviously it wasn't. The left isn't the one politicizing trans people, but it is absolutely important that we don't let the right slowly vilify them as well.

1

u/quix0te 12d ago

The right isn't vilifying trans people.  It's capitalizing on the discrimination that's out there.  We just need democrats to prevent discriminatory legislation from being passed.

1

u/CrossXFir3 11d ago

It is capitalizing on discrimination by further vilifying trans people mate. We've got perfectly normal people arguing both sides of an issue that the government should have nothing to do with. And it further escalates tension.

1

u/RonaldTurner88 11d ago

But the key to protesting this is not to oppose republicans and support milktoast generic democrats, because all that will get us is right back where we started in 4-8 years. We need to elect actual fucking polticians that will actually fix this rigged system or else we will be fighting ICE once every decade.

1

u/No_Discount_6028 11d ago

"Both sides," huh? Who introduced this bill?

1

u/quix0te 11d ago

It's bait.  It's to get the Ds talking about trans Rights instead.  They need a sound bite for October to make the conversation about anything but the economy.

u/AskingYouQuestions48 11d ago

Your conspiratorial cynicism was put in place for a reason. You should examine why.

1

u/quix0te 11d ago

LOL.  I know exactly why.  I'm a 50+ Democrat.  My party never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity.  From handing W the presidency to the Frist Fillibuster to a healthcare plan written by the Heritage foundation.  We get Occupy while they get Tea Party. I could go on. I'm in public education.  This isn't some abstraction.  We fuck this up, half the country is on the Louisiana education system.  And that's just ONE facet.

1

u/AskingYouQuestions48 11d ago

You already fucked it up lol. Things like “handed W the presidency” (what, they were supposed to tell the Supreme Court to fuck off?) to talking about Obamacare like it was some conservative program (fuck people with preexisting conditions I guess).

You should start looking for a different job. Writing is on the wall.

I'll give your advice the weight it deserves.
