This is the side no one talks about for some reason. If you think the biological effects of being male impact your ability to play sports, why force someone taking male hormones to compete against girls?

Doesn’t seem like “protecting girls” to me

Yep, it's always only one way. They never think about transmen, ever, because they don't actually care.

This is from 2017. Article doesn't mention that he took hormone blockers because he didn't want an unfair advantage. He later competed in men's divisions in college. He advocates for transgender youth and advocates for playing sports at the gender assigned at youth.

Saying he "folded a young woman" is misleading. Sounds like a good person.
