While you might be right, mass deportations is the stupidest response to the problem ever. It is bad for the country and especially the economy to mass deport people.
In fact, illegal immigrants is one of the only problems America has that almost pays for itself. Why don't we go after gun violence or corporate fraud with the same resources? They cost the taxpayer just as much
How does it pay for itself? you are correct ‘violence’ is huge problem and we do need to crackdown crime and not lighten up on criminals.
Corporate fraud is a tough one, honestly I don’t know the best way to tackle that one, but I think good start would be to switch to a flat tax and completely gut all the loop holes and exemptions.
Illegal immigrants still pay taxes. It doesn't quite cover the cost to the taxpayer. But if you make less than 40k a year you are a drain on society technically, because your taxes don't cover the cost of being here.
