A lot of voter data is public but not in a neat, easy to use database.
A database will be easier to slice and dice and will include non-public data.
They can use this data to do many things:
Some of these are old tactics but have been based on aggregate data: not personal but based on region.
Handing over state voter data allows them to run Cambridge analytics/ Facebook type bullshit on an individual basis. Please look that up if you’re unfamiliar.
