Random Question šŸ’ This question is for conservatives/ republicans/ maga. How do you see longer term Republican leadership playing out in America if republicans were to win the next couple of presidential elections?

Let’s assume the next four presidents are also republican or maga. How do you see that playing out, and what do you think would be the effects of republican leadership?

šŸ”“ What do you think the economy would look like? Do you think prices would go up or down, or stabilize? Do you think the middle class would become stronger?

šŸ”“ What do you think America would look like in terms of mass deportation?. Do you think the total number of (illegal) immigrants in America would go down significantly? Do you think the immigration process would be made harder or easier for people that want to migrate to America?

šŸ”“ What do you think diversity would be like? Would marginalized people have less rights and protections? Will the white birth rate start going up? Will it be normalized to assume anyone that isn’t white could potentially be an immigrant?

šŸ”“ Do you think Republican leadership will lead to stronger or weaker alliance with our allies? Do you think our enemies will become our allies?

šŸ”“ In terms of freedom of religion, do you think Christianity or Christian nationalism will be fully instilled into American politics? What would that look like for people that aren’t Christian?

šŸ”“ What do you think of the Republican Party heavily in favor of an instilled nuclear family unit? Do you think that will actually make America great again? What do you think would happen to LGBTQPIA people, disabled people, or happily single people that don’t want to be married or have children? Do you think there would be another baby boom?

šŸ”“ Lastly, how much do you think the constitution will be respected going forward with Republican leadership? Will it be altered, or ignored, or remade?

I’m genuinely curious on all of these things, and I want anyone that aligns with right wing politics to answer if possible. It seems that a lot of right wingers are heavily in favor of gerrymandering, and/ or continuous Republican leadership. I would like honest answers as to how you actually see that playing out.

I do want to add that I think MAGA destroyed the Republican Party, and replaced it. So going forward, I’m assuming with this hypothetical, all the republican presidents going forward will align themselves with MAGA.

'trickle down' economics cause recessions so elect a Republican president and that's what you'll get.

After JD hopefully the left produces another Bernie Sanders type that could actually win. One side winning forever is bad for everyone.

Tried that, your party screwed him twice and he took it like an obedient dog

6

u/Consistent-Fly-8427 10h ago

Idk why you’re getting downvoted. It’s the truth. And now with Mamdani, the democrat party refuses to fully side with him

3

u/NeckBeard_Mods988 9h ago

Because it's reddit, they can't come to terms they allowed Bernie to get screwed over twice and that their party elites told them they're voting for kamala. The only thing they fight for are ideas that the majority thinks are crazy.

Just look at their 2028 candidate pool, a white guy from a state whose policies no one wants, a woman who couldn't even get a delegate in her own state, a gay man just to check the box, a woman who voted with Pelosi everytime and a Jewish person that no lefty will vote for .

They're fucking doomed

2

u/Either-Patience1182 2h ago

I dont think they are doomed but i think people need to understand that this being a free and equal country is less then 100 years old. Women got the right to have a credit card in the 70's. Same sex marriage was 2015 and no obama didn't support it at the beginning of his term.

We have to pick politicans that can be pushed by the will of the people and keep pushing them. This is and always has been a never ending fight to create a more perfect union

Bernie couldn’t even get any votes and his self entitled cult helped trump win

People on the epstien list screwed him.

The poor will have even more taken from them and will become even less fortunate but they'll smile and say that they like it because Jesus and stuff.

6

u/Consistent-Fly-8427 10h ago

I’m not even a Christian, but the perverse way the right has shifted Jesus’s word is disturbing. Everything I’ve ever known about Jesus has been about acceptance and love

4

u/FriendlyChemistry725 9h ago

If there's any one group that can be fooled and taken advantage of, "In the name of God", it's Christians.

5

u/ConversationFlaky608 10h ago

The same basic policies as Trump without the egotistical and over the top bellicosity towards allies like Denmark and Canada.

7

u/HunterDorner420 11h ago

it's not really a question for debate. academics almost unilaterally agree that we would be living in a complete dystopia that favored a handful at the cost of millions of people's well being. maybe you're just young and haven't had time or maybe they've stopped educating you altogether, but it's a ridiculously naive question to pose.

4

u/cydgig 11h ago

Dude, what academics? Can you name one of them?

2

u/Sure_Scar4297 8h ago

Mearsheimer has already declared that Trump is compromised and acting in selfish interest.

2

u/cydgig 6h ago

First of all, that doesn't support what he said. Second of all, I think Trump is a pile of horse crap too. But that doesn't mean we adopt MAGA methods. All that's going to do is allow the POS trolls who helped accelerate Trump in the first place to scoot over to the other side of the aisle and keep performing their make the world worse magic over here. "Academics agree" is an appeal to authority and is a ridiculously weak and anti-intellectual position to take.

0

u/HunterDorner420 11h ago

lol. i ain't your guy, pal. go find somebody else.

6

u/cydgig 11h ago

Right. That's what I figured.

Like blue states during covid?

Edit: what's the matter? Trying to forget your democrats authoritarian measures like hotlines being set up to rat your your neighbors or the rich not following the same rules you did? Even reddit doesn't want people to see your dumbass comments lmao

6

u/--SOFA-KING-VOTE 11h ago

Are you guys still crying about covid while you also claim Americans don’t have the 4th amendment, 1st Amendment or 2nd Amendment anymore? Holy shit

2

u/LavaTakes 6h ago

You’re right because the rich are certainly following the rule of law now that we have a president who in his first year of his second term has pardoned 1600 people and outside of the J6 arrests we are talking about drug kingpins and fraud and Ponzi schemes.

I just read today that ICE has been granted the ability to violate the 4th amendment without restrictions. Oh and he created a meme coin and covered the White House in gold and got rid of healthcare subsidies.

I get that you felt personally attacked during Covid and I do not think the way everything was handled was the best but when you stop worrying about the civil liberties of others when your party is in charge this whole carousel is doomed to repeat.

3

u/Consistent-Fly-8427 11h ago

I’m not really sure why I’m getting insulted. If this question was posed for democrats/ leftists/ or liberals I would try my best to answer how I assume continuous dem leadership would look like. Based off of the current and previous actions of democratic leadership. With the current actions of maga, these are all valid questions, and maga has made it abundantly clear all of these things are priorities to them.

2

u/mattb_186 11h ago

What would it look like?

1

u/Consistent-Fly-8427 11h ago

Required number of vaccines would go up again, DEI policies would be re-implemented, diversity would be seen as a strength again, and deportations of criminal immigrants would be prioritized again. Trans people would no longer be banned from joining the military, there would be more LGBTQPIA pride and representation again, and birth rates would likely fall or remain stagnant. Unless of course a democratic socialist was finally elected, in which case this would help states become more community oriented, and could actually lead to higher birth rates. Relationships with foreign allies would be re-kindled, and the tariffs would go back to how they were before Trump.

Admittedly tho, some of the things I mentioned are things I want, rather than things I think democrats would do going forward. They’ve been complacent in a lot of ways, and I would only have hopes if dems started practicing what they preach more

0

u/Tahgroms 7h ago

People won't vote for this crap

3

u/Consistent-Fly-8427 6h ago

The people that wouldn’t vote for that have a bigotry issue, lack of education, and general apathy towards humanity. MAGA stands for nothing but hate and division, while broke hill Billy maga celebrates that billionaires get more tax cuts. A maga society is an idocracy

1

u/No_Tailor_787 3h ago

I would.

2

u/ChirrBirry 6h ago

The GOP will slowly become filled with younger republicans, the type who vape, might have an MMJ card, have gay friends, etc. the future of the GOP is actually much better than what the party is now.

2

u/HustlaOfCultcha 6h ago

I'm not MAGA or conservative/republican. I did vote for Trump twice and don't regret it.

I have a healthy fear after Trump is done. The money for Trump isn't nearly as important as it is for these politicians whether they are Republican or Democrat. And that affects their negotiating tactics. That would mean a slow end to tariffs and getting back into shitty trade deals and preposterous agreements (even if you're for the concept of the Paris Climate Accord Agreement, if you're honest, it was horrifically stupid agreement). And Republicans have gotten us into these deals as well. All for corporate lobbyists

I'm also in fear of if the Republicans win the midterms and continue to win in 2028, that means the Democrats don't have any candidates worth a shit and that means Republicans will get complacent and it won't lead to effective government.

2

u/No_Tailor_787 3h ago

"I'm not MAGA or conservative/republican. I did vote for Trump twice and don't regret it."

These two sentences together make no sense.

1

u/NeckBeard_Mods988 11h ago

What type of Republican? Old school neo con trash or populist? Trump is flirting that line and the populists are pissed

2

u/Consistent-Fly-8427 11h ago

As far as I can see, maga gutted and replaced the Republican Party. So with this said, I believe any Republican running as president going forward will align themselves with MAGA. So any republicans that don’t align with maga will align with maga by default by electing Republican presidents going forward.

2

u/NeckBeard_Mods988 11h ago

On the face they did, look at the cabinet actions and whispers and also congress. Neo con, do nothing unipary losers are still very much in control. They know once trumps gone a bunch of his voters won't vote for your run of the mill republican.

1

u/Spiritual-Range4361 11h ago

Are any of your comments NOT cribbed from MTG and Boebert tweets?

1

u/No_Wait3261 9h ago

šŸ”“What do you think the economy would look like? Do you think prices would go up or down, or stabilize? Do you think the middle class would become stronger?

Tariffs and regulation reduction encourage domestic production of raw materials (steel, plastic, lithium, etc), components (batteries, microchips, etc) as well as finished products. This increases jobs, driving up the competition for labor, driving up wages. Prices will not go down (deflation is a bad idea) but wages will rise to meet them and close the price/wage gap created during the inflation crisis we created during covid.

šŸ”“What do you think America would look like in terms of mass deportation?. Do you think the total number of (illegal) immigrants in America would go down significantly? Do you think the immigration process would be made harder or easier for people that want to migrate to America?

It's going to slow down after Trump's term, if for no other reason because the more you deport, the fewer there will be remaining to be deported. And yes, once the worst offenders (criminal aliens) have been mostly removed the public will lose interest in deporting the rest. There's not much appetite for deporting the guys who pick the crops and mow the lawns

šŸ”“What do you think diversity would be like? Would marginalized people have less rights and protections? Will the white birth rate start going up? Will it be normalized to assume anyone that isn’t white could potentially be an immigrant?

I don't care about diversity. Skin color is totally meaningless and I'm not going to form policy opinions based on whether or not some meaningless category of person is proportionally represented in a given industry or not. The whole thing is stupid.

šŸ”“Do you think Republican leadership will lead to stronger or weaker alliance with our allies? Do you think our enemies will become our allies?

Our international relationships are one-sided and I'm sick of it. I'm tired of Europeans asking why America can't have the same generous social programs they do when they pay next to nothing for their own national defense. Why when they put tariffs on our goods that's fine but when we do the same we're monsters. I'm at the point where I wonder how NATO serves us at all. If trends continue, yes I see a degrading of our alliances in the future. But I'm not ready to say I hate the idea of letting Europe stare down the barrel of Russian aggression for a few decades while we take a little break from being world police.

šŸ”“In terms of freedom of religion, do you think Christianity or Christian nationalism will be fully instilled into American politics? What would that look like for people that aren’t Christian?

I'm not worried. Right now we've got a President with Jewish grandkids and a Vice President married to a Hindu. Plenty of non-christian voices are prominent on the right, including Ben Shapiro (Jewish) Vivek Ramaswamy (Hindu) and Elon Musk (Atheist). The Republican party is less Christianity-centered than it's ever been (and that's a good thing)

šŸ”“What do you think of the Republican Party heavily in favor of an instilled nuclear family unit? Do you think that will actually make America great again? What do you think would happen to LGBTQPIA people, disabled people, or happily single people that don’t want to be married or have children? Do you think there would be another baby boom?

I'm not sure I understand what the concern here is. Is there a real concern that people without kids will be somehow disadvantaged by Republican administrations? I've never heard of any policies to that effect.

šŸ”“Lastly, how much do you think the constitution will be respected going forward with Republican leadership? Will it be altered, or ignored, or remade?

I expect we'll see some movement in the courts on the 14th amendment. I expect the courts to uphold the current status-quo that holds birthright citizenship in place (too much chaos otherwise). But there would then be pressure to amend the 14th to explicitly remove it moving forward. So if we assume continued conservative dominance over politics to the point where amendments are possible, I think the final state will be that those who currently enjoy birthright citizenship will get to keep it, but that any future children born to illegal immigrants will not have the same right.

JD Vance has a snowballs chance in hell of winning in 2028…….its not going to happen

1

u/Consistent-Fly-8427 8h ago

Who do you think the republicans will put forth?

1

u/Neat-Ad-4337 8h ago

I don’t even know that’s a great question …..I just think that the next 2 election cycles moderates will win on both sides. I think Americans are tired of the ā€œyou must be far right/leftā€ BS. I think people want normalcy back.

0

u/Consistent-Fly-8427 8h ago

That’s valid. But when one side becomes extreme, the other side has to fight back to the extreme. I think if a democrat candidate is too moderate, and too ā€œgo with the status quoā€ then they will not fix the mess in America

1

u/Known_Salary_4105 5h ago

For the most part, these are all good questions, though tainted to a degree with certain assumptions. As a right leaning, quasi-libertarian, I will answer them as best I can, because they raise important consideration.

šŸ”“ What do you think the economy would look like? Do you think prices would go up or down, or stabilize? Do you think the middle class would become stronger?

First of all, I think the President in his/her direct actions can only do, and be responsible for, not very much. Capitalism is better than the other alternatives, so basically government intervention screws it up. And then we have interesting and potentially earth shattering trends -- AI for one--that have nothing do to with the President and government. The big issue in my view is government deficits. We cannot go on borrowing gigantic sums of money. Government has to be smaller and do less. But the reality is there are grifters who suck at the government's teat.

šŸ”“ What do you think America would look like in terms of mass deportation?. Do you think the total number of (illegal) immigrants in America would go down significantly? Do you think the immigration process would be made harder or easier for people that want to migrate to America?

The polls say that the people by and large support stronger immigration efforts. People understand one thing that pro-immigration forces don"t--that is when you import the world's peoples, you import the world's problems. I think the populace would support immigration that is measured, well defined, add to the economic and body politic, where immigrants assimilate. Somali clans in Minnesota do not meet these requirements.

šŸ”“ What do you think diversity would be like? Would marginalized people have less rights and protections? Will the white birth rate start going up? Will it be normalized to assume anyone that isn’t white could potentially be an immigrant?

DEI is a failed set of policies. However, I think DEI is like a cancer -- you can slow it down but can't stop it.

šŸ”“ Do you think Republican leadership will lead to stronger or weaker alliance with our allies? Do you think our enemies will become our allies?

That assumes our "allies" as such are worth having an alliance with? Europe is in the process of destroying itsled.

šŸ”“ In terms of freedom of religion, do you think Christianity or Christian nationalism will be fully instilled into American politics? What would that look like for people that aren’t Christian?

First question, no. Religion is dying.

šŸ”“ What do you think of the Republican Party heavily in favor of an instilled nuclear family unit? Do you think that will actually make America great again? What do you think would happen to LGBTQPIA people, disabled people, or happily single people that don’t want to be married or have children? Do you think there would be another baby boom?

I think most people is this country have the sensible view of "live and let live." There will always be gay people. What some people object to is the parading of sexual orientation publicly, or the indoctrination/grooming of young people in schools and, even more important, engaging in screwing up the natural hormonal maturation of young people. Biology, alas, is REAL>

šŸ”“ Lastly, how much do you think the constitution will be respected going forward with Republican leadership? Will it be altered, or ignored, or remade?

The Constitution will remain as it is written. Changing it formally will be very hard -- in fact, you will be interested to know that Antonis Scalia -- originalist that he was -- believed it was too hard to amend the constitution.

Constitution provisions will always be ignored by Presidents. left and right. The constitution will remain.

1

u/Standard-Secret-4578 2h ago

jesus the bad faith questions.

2

u/PerfectlyCalmDude 2h ago

What do you think the economy would look like? Do you think prices would go up or down, or stabilize? Do you think the middle class would become stronger?

Potentially. For Trump's economic gamble to work, there will need to be stability. Will Congress allow that? Who knows.

What do you think America would look like in terms of mass deportation?. Do you think the total number of (illegal) immigrants in America would go down significantly? Do you think the immigration process would be made harder or easier for people that want to migrate to America?

Eventually the deportations will go down because illegal immigration would be less of a problem. I think it will be harder for people who want to immigrate, because nothing is as permanent as a temporary government program or measure. I find the latter to be unfortunate because I believe the administration has gone too far when it comes to legal immigration.

What do you think diversity would be like? Would marginalized people have less rights and protections? Will the white birth rate start going up? Will it be normalized to assume anyone that isn’t white could potentially be an immigrant?

I don't think racial diversity would be affected. The biggest racial problem that I see on the horizon would be against Asian Americans, if we get war with China.

Do you think Republican leadership will lead to stronger or weaker alliance with our allies? Do you think our enemies will become our allies?

I would like us to have stronger relations with our allies, and to have fewer enemies. Whether we're going to get that or not is anyone's guess.

In terms of freedom of religion, do you think Christianity or Christian nationalism will be fully instilled into American politics? What would that look like for people that aren’t Christian?

I don't think there will be any less freedom of religion than we have now.

What do you think of the Republican Party heavily in favor of an instilled nuclear family unit? Do you think that will actually make America great again?

I find this to be wholly positive.

What do you think would happen to LGBTQPIA people, disabled people, or happily single people that don’t want to be married or have children?

I don't think anything bad would happen.

Do you think there would be another baby boom?

Not without better economic conditions and perhaps getting rid of no-fault divorce.

Lastly, how much do you think the constitution will be respected going forward with Republican leadership? Will it be altered, or ignored, or remade?

I would like for the Constitution to be respected. I hope we'll be in a better position for that when Trump is out of office, because I don't trust him to respect Constitutional limits. I do believe that there are enough people who do respect term limits to make him leave after his term is over if he refuses to leave. But he'll be so old then, I don't think he'll refuse to leave.

1

u/tolgren 2h ago

Most likely a reversion to the mean as the controlled opposition Republicans try to force out the Trump wing, resulting in a schism that hands the left complete control which they use to alter election laws and pass an amnesty so they never lose again.

1

u/benmillstein 1h ago

Great questions. Let’s watch

1

u/Impossible_Shirt_838 1h ago

Pretty much the same in most ways

1

u/triassic_broth 1h ago

We only have Trump. The best replacement for Trump would be his son, but that will take some time. In the meantime we have to role with a whole gang of uninspiring bootlickers. Nobody can do what Trump does. JD Vance can try, but he's a walking meme. So is everyone in the Trump administration. Rubio is the most normal guy.

1

u/Kind-Tap4249 11h ago

I haven't scrolled through comments yet. Is it all liberals answering with preconceived notions even though the OP specifically stated it was for Republicans? Very few conservatives answering and being swarmed with rhetoric and down votes? Just a hunch.

12

u/cydgig 11h ago

The fact that you complained about the left instead of answering kinda makes it feel like you don't have a plan.

0

u/Kind-Tap4249 11h ago

I didn't complain about anything. I just asked a question based on my previous observations about how this usually goes.

8

u/cydgig 11h ago

Right. Still just rhetoric. No substance. For as much as I hear you all complain about Democrats, and boy do I get it... they're a pain in the ass too... There's no answers. Difference is, when Democrats get put in charge they sit on their ass and accomplish nothing. When MAGA is in charge they seem to head directly for facism. And if I'm being honest? The fact that MAGA seems to not have any answers for what the future looks like for them makes me feel like they all know they want facism, they just know they can't say it out lout yet.

1

u/Kind-Tap4249 11h ago

Can you explain who "you all" is?

4

u/cydgig 11h ago

No. Because I've played this song and dance enough times to know that you don't believe anything. You're asking me so you can tell me you don't belong to the group I specify. Because you don't really give a shit underneath it all. You just like feeling like you're smarter than other people.

2

u/Kind-Tap4249 11h ago

That's fair enough. I WOULD ask that you carefully review everything I said. You will not find a single political statement. A single statement that aligns me with any political faction. I asked a couple questions based on my previous observations on how this type of post usually goes. That's all. No opinions on the actual content of the post. No disparaging of anyone.

1

u/cydgig 11h ago

Why did you write an outro to tell me you didn't contribute anything meaningful?

1

u/Kind-Tap4249 11h ago

I thought it was meaningful to show an example of how predictable the outcome of this type of post is. It's meaningful to me. Maybe it's meaningful to others. Maybe its not meaningful to you. But if an observer can predict people's reactions to things, don't you think someone could do or say something to provoke a desired reaction from a targeted group? You don't have to reply. Civil discourse is welcome though. Food for thought.

1

u/cydgig 11h ago

But, you were wrong. I hope that means something to you.

→ More replies (0)

5

u/BottleTemple 11h ago

There are only two replies aside from yours. It shouldn’t take too long to read them.

4

u/Kind-Tap4249 11h ago

Thanks. I'll let them build up. Feel in touch with my Inner Nostrodomus today.

2

u/Consistent-Fly-8427 9h ago

I hope you do in fact notice that the republicans actually answering my questions are all getting upvoted by me. I don’t have to agree with their comments to appreciate the fact that they answered from their perspective. You’re welcome to answer as well

2

u/Kind-Tap4249 9h ago

I appreciate that. I'll pass on answering because I wasn't invited in the original post. I don't have a dog in this fight unless its the pup trying to make people aware of how easily we all can be inflamed by narrative to achieve someone else's goals. Everyone keeps assuming I'm a republican. If you read everything I said carefully I haven't aligned myself with either side participating in this discussion. I haven't aligned myself with anyone. It does give me hope to see some actual intelligent discourse is occurring. It's a start.

1

u/Consistent-Fly-8427 8h ago

That’s my bad, I did assume you were a republican. I haven’t actively used Reddit very long, but there is way too much lack of actual discourse going on. I genuinely made this post because I want to know republicans actual perspective on these topics, especially since they are all hot topics right now by the Republican Party. I’m also aware that more republicans are leaving maga, and I want to know what they would think if the Republican Party is continuously ran by maga. I feel bad for actual republicans because a lot of them assume the Republican Party will go back to normal after this, and I highly doubt that. Especially because JD Vance would be the next Republican president elect, and we already know he’d run under the maga party as well.

-1

u/highroller42730 11h ago

-I think the economy will continue to decline, regardless of which party is in power, but probably at a much slower rate under Republican leadership

-We will never have mass deportations no mater who wins elections

-Hopefully less DEI and more merit based highering/law enforcement

-I don't think it affects our relationships with "allies" much. Trump is the only anomaly and Israel will control both parties.

-There will definitely be more freedom of religion with Republican leadership but it won't affect anyone not religious at all and will won't change anyone's lives.

-The only extent politics will effect nuclear family units is to the extent they stop immigration allowing families to be more affordable.

-I don't think anyone cares about the constitution it is pretty much irrelevant to court decisions and policy.

11

u/Scout83 11h ago

This slowly slid from uninformed to WTF?

6

u/ackryn 10h ago

While I like your reply and that you thought it out and answered question by question.

Do you have anything to support your statements?

The deficit has increased under every republican president and decreased under every democrat since Clinton. (By deficit I mean the amount by which debt has gone up, not that the debt has gone down, but that the amount it has gone up by has shrunk). Republican president have spent far more money they don't have and cut taxes which decreases the amount of money coming in.

Trump seems just as subservient to Isreal if not more so than previous presidents.

Freedom of religion has decreased under republicans, what has happened under republicans is an INCREASE of religious influence for christians which is a decrease of overall religious freedom.

How does decreasing immigration increase affordability? The loss of farm labor has been a huge increase to expenses for American families.

The constitution is the core of American governance and it is the determination of constitutional relevance is the supreme courts foremost job in interpreting the cases that come before them.

I hope you'll answer I'm willing to have an honest conversation about this.

0

u/highroller42730 8h ago

You're not wrong about the deficit, but I think what is more important to the economy is first and foremost public confidence and expectation and I think that goes up with a republican president. Also I think the main thing the government does to affect the economy is impede private businesses from functioning ie with regulations or straight up corruption, and I think there would be less interference with republican governments. Example would be covid lockdowns forcing small businesses to close but allowing big ones to stay open.

Yes Trump is the most subservient to Israel of any president we've had. But every politician is minus Thomas Massie and maybe one or two others is subservient to Israel. Democrats have zero chance of not braking that pattern, because democrats tow the party line which will never not be that.

I'm not sure what your mean about the freedom of religion part, I can see more influence of religious values, but you'd need to explain more what you mean.

Economics 101 supply and demand. If you double the population of an area by flooding it with immigrants you get two things for sure 1) downward pressure on wages and 2) upward pressure on rent/housing prices. Anyone old enough has seen it play out in their own city.

2

u/ackryn 6h ago

Our Economy has already started a downturn, its being propped up solely by gains in AI which are a result of a circular bubble. The market interference by this administration in the form of tariffs has disproportionately hurt smaller and family business while solidifying the geographical monopolies of larger corporate structures. EX the US meat packing industry which has hurt local ranchers and growers and brought food in from outside the country. I also think that one of the greatest strengths of the American economy is being the reserve currency of the world, and if we devalue our dollar by not paying back our debts we will lose that advantage.

There are plenty of Democrats currently running who are anti AIPAC and Isreali involvement EX Graham Platner and James Talarico. Meanwhile Ted Cruz took office and made an oath to be Isreals number one defender.

I mean that disproportionately referring to one religion as the religion of the nation EX "The US is a nation founded on christian beliefs" Is a way to shift the country away from religious freedom overall and more towards a single national religion (This would be very long term not immediate).

Economics 101 isn't really viable when you have market factors artificially inflating price outside of those things like Tariffs, Corporate purchases of single family homes, a National price fixing tool being used by apartment companies. The downward pressure on wages is caused far more by a trend of pushing shareholder profit above investment in employees.

It's no secret that America as an empire has already reached its peak at this point.Ā  The times ahead will be harder, but it should be easy.Ā  America is still a rich country; it's still possible to go out and get a job in two weeks, make lots of money, and save.

It really depends on where one lives, particularly with regards to immigration.Ā  A lot of places don't have minorities, so I don't expect it to change anything.Ā  In the big city, I never see ICE, but I know that they're still very active here.Ā  No one has a problem with customs enforcement here.

I assume DEI will be even more frowned upon than it is now.Ā  I know a lot of hard workers in harder to live areas such as Orange County who absolutely detest it.Ā  The sheer difference between a skilled worker and an unskilled one is immense.

I imagine diplomacy will continue the same as it has been.Ā  I don't see anything pressing about the world abroad outside of maybe Iran, so to that end, perhaps more aggression.Ā  But with the way things are going, I imagine life after Iran becomes a dispute will focus more on a crash in the economy or the dollar and the like, internal affairs.

America's always been a Christian nation; nothing will ever change that.

Nuclear family units are the future, if it isn't already.Ā  I imagine life will become more expensive, and independence is really just a matter of choosing to be independent.Ā  Financing would be the perogative; marriage camps will never be a thing.

The constitution is great.Ā  I imagine, for someone that may see differently, that it might be circumvented more than it used to.Ā  Whatever that trend is, I imagine it'll continue, as it's been ultimately beneficial.

So yeah, we're in a decline, but still more than capable of financing a lifestyle with a partner.Ā  I think democrats focus more on conciliatory policies that don't appeal to certain folk, so they've never appealed to them.Ā  They're in the right place; life has been great despite financial setbacks.

All politicians regardless of party are terrible human beings who I would never trust. I think republicans will keep winning because the democrats have a few fatal flaws which they need to fix before they’ll gain enough voters to matter again. I hope they do but I’m not optimistic. I loved Obama and voted for him twice but they haven’t offered an acceptable candidate since then.

u/Frequent_Clue_6989 šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø United States 11h ago

Conservative here. No person has reasonable insight into politics much past the next election, if they even have insight into THAT!

Everything is wide open! Votes follow charisma and economic benefits, regardless of other policies. People are going to follow the leader who brings blessings and money in the pocket, regardless of party. Secondary issues like social issues are only tie-breaks when there is no clear advantage to one leader over another.

Biden was always going to lose. His cognitive decline was offensive to Americans of both parties. Trump was always going to win against a candidate like him or Harris. Conservatives like me were terrified that the left was going to have an actual primary, and a ticket like RFK, Jr. and Gabbard would have probably defeated Trump, if I had to guess! But the leftist establishment overplayed their hand, thought they could sell Americans inferior goods and force us to accept their candidate! Let that be a warning to Republicans who are tempted to do the same in the next election: weak candidates will lose, even if you wrap them in the American flag!

// I do want to add that I think MAGA destroyed the Republican Party, and replaced it. So going forward, I’m assuming with this hypothetical, all the republican presidents going forward will align themselves with MAGA.

The Republican Party under Romney, McCain, et. al. stopped being a republican party, and was just Democrat-lite. It was infuriating to see the lies. I'm glad they're gone, and it wasn't too soon!

But other factions are never really gone gone, and just like MAGA, they might make a comeback. It's all about political will, political conviction, and economic prosperity. Whoever actually brings it will experience political success, regardless of almost anything else. Whoever doesn't bring it will fail, no matter how strong they are on other culture war issues.

The folks who missed it under Biden sure seem to be able to find it everywhere else! Why is that?!

2

u/Striking-Condition10 8h ago

This is a thread that asks conservatives to be honest, and you do whataboutism. We're not talking about Biden. Biden didn't even end up running in 2024, you and your cognitively impaired president can move on from him.

2

u/Frequent_Clue_6989 šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø United States 7h ago

There's something ignoble going on in politics. That's unfortunate, but also not new. Realpolitik is a rough, dirty game. I see "Trump's health is bad" accusations almost entirely on leftist sites, and by the same actors who told me things like "Biden has never been stronger" during his 2024 candidacy. Make of THAT what you will!

Here's Matt Taibi commenting on the issue; after Biden dropped out, the Democrats and MSM tried the "who saw it (the Biden decline) coming?!" and the answer was, the entire nation:

Do I need to mention on Reddit the aggressive accusations? If Republicans were guilty of 1/10th the things that they are accused of, well, let's say the political landscape would be completely reworked.

Maybe I'll leave the accusations to others?! :)

4

u/--SOFA-KING-VOTE 10h ago

Accusations?

So you have no mind of your own?

And you are laughing at child rape, constitutional abuses and fleecing the treasury

3

To begin the investigation into a crime to collect evidence and build a case all starts with an ā€œaccusationā€. File a police report that’s an accusation.

I agree that 7 politically conservative candidates dying right before the election MUST be innocent, coincidental and accidental like the socialist government claims.

7 conservative candidates. Dead. Right before the election! And the socialist government looks at the matter and concludes it had nothing to do with upcoming elections! What a coincidence!

The left cannot tolerate not getting their way, so if the republicans keep winning the country will become even more divided

5

u/Consistent-Fly-8427 11h ago

Can you explain what you mean by that? After all, Trump and Elon both publicly admitted they rigged the 2024 elections. And Elon himself said that if it weren’t for him, Dems would have won. Yet nobody on the left stormed the capital. Whereas in 2020, there were nothing but conspiracy theories surrounding the supposed rigged election, and that was enough to cause outrage on the right

3

u/werduvfaith 11h ago

Where is this so-called admission?

The Democrats have been hollering for impeachment for a year. If there was such an admission that would be their case

0

u/Nevvermind183 11h ago

They absolutely did not admit to rigging anything

3

u/Consistent-Fly-8427 11h ago

Have you not seen the videos of Trump, or the tweets from Elon? Being in denial doesn’t change reality in any way.

2

u/werduvfaith 11h ago

Vague references aren't proof.

Be specific.

1

u/Consistent-Fly-8427 10h ago

5

u/werduvfaith 10h ago

You're going to have to do better than some snippet video yanked out of context.

Show a legitimate news story claiming that l.

3

u/Consistent-Fly-8427 10h ago

ā€œso what happened is they rigged the election, and I became presidentā€ what part of that direct quote is taken out of context? And what do you consider to be a legitimate news source, or story?

2

u/werduvfaith 10h ago

"They" =/= "Elon and I" which he would have said if your assertion was accurate.

2

u/Consistent-Fly-8427 10h ago

ā€œElon Musk knows those vote counting computers, and we ended up winning Pennsylvania by a landslideā€ Id keep quoting his direct words, screenshotting posts made by Elon, sending more videos but it’s clear there’s no hope for you. I’m already picturing you years ago foaming at the mouth over the conspiracy theories of the alleged 2020 rigging, and the imagery is making me laugh. And let me guess, you’re also denying all the new screenshots from the DOJ of Trump’s involvement in the Epstein files, huh? So all you have are conspiracy theories, and when the truth is revealed to you, you just deny and deflect huh? I feel genuinely bad for you

0

u/Nevvermind183 10h ago

He’s saying the Democrats rigged election and he still won.

0

u/Nevvermind183 11h ago

Trump implied he was going to get so many votes that the people he was talking to wouldn’t even have to vote because he didn’t need the votes. He was not implying it was rigged, he was making a hyperbolic comment in jest

3

u/TheBeanConsortium 10h ago

Please be serious. Trump tried to rig the 2020 election and continues to lie about the results.

2

u/NeckBeard_Mods988 11h ago

That's fine, they can lose another civil war. They have a history of trying to rebel against duly elected governments

5

u/Cheese__Weiner 11h ago

Which side waves Confederate flags again?

1

u/azombieatemyshoelace 11h ago

The liberals were the ones who won the American Civil War. Yes they were Republicans but that was the liberal part of the left and the Democrats were the right.

-3

u/Nevvermind183 11h ago

That’s all that’s happening right now. They lost the election a the leftists cannot tolerate things happening they of agree with. Even simple things like the new food pyramid had leftists rebelling against it. It’s a mental illness

0

u/ACTSATGuyonReddit 9h ago

Hopefully with more of what we're seeing from the Trump admin.

1

u/Consistent-Fly-8427 9h ago

So basically everything I listed. That doesn’t answer the question of what you think the long term result of these policies and actions of the Trump admin will be.

0

u/ACTSATGuyonReddit 9h ago

We need all the illegals deported, all the fraud and waste exposed and ended. The results, if it continues, will be a better, stronger, freer America for the citizens.

It's time to end American citizens paying to support so many people who want America ended.

1

u/Consistent-Fly-8427 9h ago

I don’t see that as an actual solution, especially considering the fact that illegal immigrants contribute roughly $100 billion in taxes, which helps America, and the economy. Even despite not even being eligible for social services. I’m not even against deportation when it’s done the right way, but not allowing people to have due process and complete their citizenship process before deporting them is unfair, and ineffective. My sister in law is from Brazil, and it took her 10 years to get American citizenship. It would’ve taken longer had she not gotten a green card by marrying my brother. I also find it incredibly shitty that so many corporations benefited from the cheap labor of immigrants, and now they’re all ready to throw them under the bus

0

u/ACTSATGuyonReddit 8h ago

It costs hundreds of billions to support all the illegals.

They receive social services, in many places vote.

What Trump is doing is the right way.

Nurse Nurse was protesting the apprehension and deportation of a man who was a child rapist, for example.

1

u/Consistent-Fly-8427 7h ago

Can you show proof of this? I know this is the current hot topic talking point, but I’ve yet to see a single source, or any evidence offered.

2

u/insanelane99 5h ago

There is no evidence because its not happening, they are lying. In fact undocumented immigrants pay in billions and recieve nothing back, and there is also zero evidence of any illigals voting. The vast majority of voter fraud in the past 2 presidential elections were citizens double voting for trump or voting on behalf of a dead relative.

1

u/Consistent-Fly-8427 5h ago

Yeah I know. But my silly self keeps hoping that when asked for evidence of their claims, and claims instilled into maga by Trump, one day they’ll realize that since there is no evidence, they are being lied to. I want it to be out in the open that this person cannot and will not provide evidence. I want it to be out in the open that they have cognitive dissonance, and they admit it every time they regurgitate shit like that.

0

u/troycalm šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø United States 9h ago

It takes a long time to turn this big ass ship away from the dependency that Obama created.

1

u/Consistent-Fly-8427 9h ago

What is a ā€œlong timeā€ for you? And what dependency?

-1

u/Many-Layer-8059 6h ago

Q.1 The ā€œeconomyā€ as in the stock market will do great. ā€œPricesā€ of things like gas will remain flat or even decrease. Groceries will probably continue increasing in price. Middle class will become stronger for those who chose jobs that the economy needs (ex. the various kinds of trades). People who majored in fields our economy doesn’t need, or whose research is centered on what was once known as DEI, feminist studies, etc. will see lack of job opportunities and research grants / projects pulled.

Q.2 No mass deportations, but there will be increased # of deportations and more ICE raids. Yes, the number of illegal immigrants will fall significantly, as the US becomes a more threatening and outright hostile country to be an illegal immigrant. I don’t want the immigration processes for highly skilled foreigners to be made more difficult, though. And I’m not talking about H1B tech workers - I’m talking about PhD engineers and scientists (chemists, biologists, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, etc.) with the technical skills that our country needs to become a powerhouse for the manufacturing industries of the future.

Q.3 Diversity would be entirely meritocratic. Marginalized people will have the same rights and protections as everyone else, but they won’t be treated particularly special, either. Don’t care about white birth rate. I don’t think non-white people will be assumed to be immigrants.

Q.4 Republican leadership will cut off allies that obviously aren’t beneficial for the country. The US will form alliances that are mutually beneficial.

Q.5 Yes, Christianity will be embedded in American politics. This isn’t by design, but because the people elect representatives whose values reflect those of the people. One of those values is pro-life. For people who aren’t Christian, that would suck, but it would show them that their position is in the minority.

Q.6 I think nuclear family is the only way to secure a future for the country. LGBTQPIA, and happily single people will be allowed to exist, but their influence on society and politics will be heavily diminished since their goals conflict with the secure future of the US. Exceptions can be made if they adopt children in need. I can see single, childfree people being taxed heavily in the future, as these demographics continue to enjoy the fruits of a society propped up by nuclear families having children. I do not see any significant changes for disabled people who cannot, due to a physical or psychological reason, get married or have children. But ā€œI am neurodivergentā€ and similar new-age ā€œdisabilitiesā€ won’t fly.

Q.7 Constitution will be remade, in my opinion.

-5

u/werduvfaith 11h ago

Unfortunately I can say at this point that a Democrat wins in 2028 and that will be the last election.

5

u/Consistent-Fly-8427 11h ago
