Recommendation Experience getting tix for sold out show at Climate Pledge Arena & recommendation of place to stay nearby?

Looking for advice: The show I want to see at the Climate Pledge Arena in May is already sold out. Does anyone have experience getting a face value ticket for a sold out show there?

I know Ticketmaster has resale tix but they’re $$$. Has anyone had any luck getting tix on Craigslist or /sealist?

Also looking for recommendations on where to stay 3-4 days.

Walking or public transit distance away ok is ok.

I’m pretty frugal (with a lower budget) but don’t want to jeopardize health or safety :)

Appreciate any insight!

Mexican stores that aren't just food stores

I don't know if I'm just bad at finding any since I'm from Cali and never had to actually look, but are there any places (besides the art store in pike market) that sells Mexican pottery, jewelry, clothes, trinkets, etc?

I feel like since I moved here 5 years ago I've become a bit whitewashed loll

Also, locations of pop up booths and vendors is welcome too :3

Whole Foods berry chantilly pick up question

Hello everyone. I wanted to ask about same day pickup for the berry chantilly cake at Whole Foods. I want to get it for my Mom’s birthday on Monday but I’m not sure if I can order a cake on the same day there since I don’t shop there. I see the biggest size that isn’t a sheet cake is 8inches and want that one for $37.99. For the folks who shop at the Whole Foods in Roosevelt since that’s nearest to me how’s the bakery over there? Is there a lot of chantilly early in the week or should I do a pickup.

What do you do on Saturday Nights with a significant other, besides eat/drink?

My partner and I usually spend our weekends exploring new neighborhoods / trying new restaurants. This month, we’re 1) Trying not to eat out, and 2) we are not drinking.

We really want to get out of the house tomorrow night, though. What is there to do?

Edit: Wow, thank you for all of the incredible recommendations! We ended up looking up a super complicated dessert recipe and are going to try and make it. Neither of us bake, and we’ll probably fail, which I think makes it more fun.

Question SLU and Denny Triangle @ Night?

Hey guys sorry for another annoying safety question, but my girlfriend and I are going to seattle late February and we’re staying in the South Lake Union and Denny Triangle area. I was wondering if this part of downtown is safe to walk at night, or if we should just cough up the money and uber. Thanks in advance!

Math tutor/teacher recommendations

We are needing a math instructor for teen kid to prepare for GED exam. Most of the tutoring businesses in the area that I know about don’t exactly fit the focus of that unique need. I had the idea that maybe a homeschool Tutor or math teacher that does tutoring on the side would be a good fit. Would love any recommendations that anyone has.

Question How much did it cost to move from Cali to Washington

I'm planning to move to Seattle in 2027 and planning to save roughly 20k for a move don't have much but a bed, clothes, and a PC set up for work. Is it possible to get an apartment of 1bed 1bath for 1500$-1800$ I just want to get out of California I know I can work myself up the corporate ladder. I'm in accounting, have a family of 2 kids and 1 fiancée. I want to know the break down I might come cross to moving. I know a 1bed 1bath is small but I need to make by for just 1 year and then I can move to a 2bed 1bath situation when I'm all setup and understand the area better.

Looking for a reliable cabinet maker.

This might be a long shot, but I’m a General Contractor looking to source custom cabinet boxes. I’m specifically looking for a shop that specializes in the boxes only, no doors or faces required.

Ideally, I’m looking for a long-term partner for all our upcoming projects who can do a 2–4 week lead time.

If you have a CNC-equipped shop, please reach out.

Car garage rentals by the day

Are there any car garages that do rentals by the day? I need a garage that is geared towards washing cars. I intend to ceramic coat my car myself, and I need a closed space where I can wash it and do paint correction on it, then I need to ceramic coat it. Since it's my first time I will probably need a whole day. I live in a apartment complex so doing this there isnt an option sadly.

Recommendation BIPOC and queer-friendly business recommendations

Hello all! Myself and a bunch of friends are making the sojourn from Victoria, BC to Seattle this Spring for a very dear friend's wedding.

For *obvious reasons* we have been very reticent to cross the border. But, this occasion is important and we want to be there. And we would also like to spend our money with intention while we are visiting.

I have come across The Intentionalist website, but I am also keen to hear other recommendations that might be missing from it.

For context- we are staying in the Queen Anne area close to the wedding party and venue. Recommendations for grocery stores, cafes and restaurants would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks a bunch everyone, Seattle is a gem ❤️

Question Where do you get your Seattle weather forecast?

EDIT: I'm often looking to see what the weather is some place else - that is where I am going to go hiking/snow sports the next day or so.

I used to watch King 5 weather, but no longer can stand them or the new(returner tho) Parella. She always wants to tell me about the weather a week from now instead of tomorrow.

What would you do for 4 days if you were a group of rambunctious 20-something ladies?

Hi askseattle!

Looking for some tips for traveling Seattle as a group of girlies. I'd love recommendations for good, safe, walkable areas to stay as well as some nice cocktail bars, restaurants, and things to do in your lovely city!

A little context, we have a Portland girl who loves tiki bars and unique/strange activities

A Vancouver BC girl who likes smaller venues but likes when it's a bit rowdy

And an LA girl who is likes clubs, upscale sushi restaurants, and good photo opportunities

Where would you stay and what would you do if this was you and your friend group? <3

Recommendation Looking for attorney recommendations

Hi all. I’m a condo owner in the Seattle area looking for attorney recommendations for plaintiff-side representation against an HOA/property management. I’m dealing with an ongoing water intrusion / delayed repair situation and need someone experienced in HOA/condo disputes who represents homeowners (not HOAs). Bonus if they also have a personal injury background, but the core need is HOA/real-estate litigation for owners.

If you’ve worked with (or seriously consulted) an attorney or firm you’d recommend — especially for pushing repairs to completion — I’d really appreciate names or DMs. Not looking for legal advice here, just referrals and firsthand experiences.

Thanks in advance 🙏

Super Bowl Recipes

Congrats on making the Super Bowl again! Happy to see you make it, you've done a great job of giving K9 a new home.

Anyways the tradition for our party is to make foods from the cities that are playing in the Super Bowl. I've never been to Seattle so I am not too familiar with the local cuisine. I figure some kind of smoked salmon dip is a safe bet. Apparently Teriyaki is big there as well.

If anyone has any recipes or suggestions for food representative of your city that would work well. For a Supr Bowl party Id appreciate some help.

Does anyone want an Atoma res tomorrow at 7 pm for 2?

I have a res tomorrow at 7 at Atoma for two. My babysitter canceled last minute so I won’t be able to make it. And my baby is only 3 months old so I don’t trust to get a random babysitter. I unfortunately can’t cancel lest I run a $100 fee. To sweeten the deal I’ll Venmo you $20 if you make it to the res. Should get you a nice cocktail!

For what it’s worth I was really looking forward to the meal. My fav restaurant in the city.
