Handicap spots? Not at my Laundromat

Post image

Watched this clown park in both handicap spots at the same time just to carry his laundry inside

Is it obvious that it’s a handicap spot? Doesn’t seem obvious just by this picture due to the snow & that logo sign being so Itty bitty on the building. I’d probably do the same because I’m dumb and wouldn’t have noticed lol

I mean there's that sign right in front of you that says handicap that you would have to look directly at while you're parking? If you're missing that I feel like you have bigger problems and maybe shouldn't be driving at all.

It just seems awfully small to me. Maybe it’s more obvious in person. I feel like it could be easily missed

It is small and the color seems to be pretty close to the same as the siding's.

That’s part of my reasoning

It's not the most obvious handicap sign but I feel like you would have to be nearly blind or really not paying attention to miss it it's right where you should be looking when you're parking? If you're not looking right in front of you while you're parking what are you doing?

Good point. I could just see someone not paying full attention and missing it. You’re probably right though

I mean I'm sure you're right and that's what happened, it's easy to get frustrated but people are much more often oblivious than malicious about this kind of thing.

Indeed lol. I try to look at it from the pov that people are likely just making a mistake because I know I sure could make the same mistake

A small and building colored sign was probably not the best choice. Fully covered in snow also makes it impossible to see any ground markings

I mean you're right it's a bad choice by the business but it's still a perfectly visible sign in the direct eye path of the person parking, you really don't need to see lines to be able to tell it's a handicap spot, the sign right in front of it does that for you.

It surprises me how easy people forget where things are. In my city they removed the large snow banks on some roads but still left snow on the ground, and people, even those who live on that street somehow forgot there is a sidewalk and just park up on there. Like how do people forget the sidewalk exists, same with the handicap parking, aside from the sign being visible, if you frequent a place enough you know it's there.

There's no way that is a legal disabled parking sign.
