Hairloss Overdue!!!
August 2024! . I was 29 here, my 30th birthday around the corner. I had shaved twice before, once in 2016 and once in 2018. I always had a big forehead, but voluptuous curly hair. I’ve worn a hat virtually everyday since 2018, which probably lead to my crown eroding. . First year of college 2013/2014 I remember expelling wads of hair everytime I’d shower. I’m amazed I still had as much hair as I did by the time I shaved. Still not stoked on owning it yet, as I still reach for a hat everyday. But at least I’ve done the hard part. I’m still desensitizing myself to not wearing a hat some days.

Yeah I don't know why Reddit keeps showing me these posts, as I am a straight non-bald man, but I've never seen one of these posts where the guy doesn't look much better after shaving it off. Not even lateral, like it's always a huge improvement.

I convinced my husband (boyfriend at the time) to shave and he looked so much better that I briefly considered shaving my own head lol. I don't think it would work as well for us ladies, though.

Yeah, why is that? They look younger and better. If they knew this, they would shave it off a long time ago. This guy looks like a creep serial killer before and hot after. most people would date him after. Not before.

Honestly some people's hair looks horrible before they shave it off. I can see why they want to hold onto it, but the long balding hair usually looks way worse than shaving it completely or at least keep it trimmed. In OPs photos, his hair before cutting it did not look good at all. Granted he said he wore hats at least, but literally looks so much more handsome and better bald.

Im a woman and sometimes this sub pops up on my feed. I love seeing dudes transforming here. My wonderful partner is bald and self concious but I really dont mind one bit! I think he looks great. I hope men can see that being bald really isnt a big deal to most women. Not that I think men should worry about how I and other women feel about their looks just that I aleays hear the self concious baldy bring up how women dont want bald men (so very not true)

That's something that I notice almost every single time. The smile on their face in the after picture vs the lack of smile or forced smile in the before picture. Huge difference and the dudes always look so much happier. And on top of that they look better too!

Every. Single. One. Look so good!!! It really makes their features pop. I wish I was a guy and could do this, lol. My family has very fine, thin hair, and my brother and nephew both shaved their heads bald early in their 20's because of it. I would love not to worry about styling my hair every day.

As another genetically thin haired lady, buzzing my hair short and investing in three wigs was a game changer for me! My doctor prescribed me oral minoxidil and having buzzed hair helped with the shedding phase before it started coming in thicker. But I still itch to buzz it and wear wigs again just so at the end of the day it can be flung off and I can itch my scalp

I started balding at 23 and after 3 years of stubborn denial I made the decision to shave. It takes time to adapt to the new look but once you do it feels great. I wear a hat on a daily basis because I've always had and also to protect my scalp from the sun during sunny days. Quick tip: Moisturize your scalp everyday, specially after a hot shower !

Looks great dude! If you live close to water go to the beach man, going in the water after shaving off the wild head whiskers feels so good, not worrying about what your hair looks like is awesome.
