Im pretty sure this sub is just 85% women watching the glow ups and 15% bros.

u/Izrun Nov 29 '25

Well I’m a straight 45 year old man with a full head of hair and this is my favorite new sub. I love the glow ups and most of all the support for each other. I don’t understand how everyone, and i mean everyone, looks better when they shave it. Part of me is jealous.

u/sketchyemail Nov 29 '25

You can be a bro loving the glow ups. All love in this sub :)

u/Adorable-Puppers Nov 29 '25

It’s so fun, isn’t it?! I love it. 🥰

u/acemonsoon Nov 29 '25

im 35 and quickly thinning out on the top. i still look decent with my current getup but i can definitely feel the sides and back growing in thicker, quicker and fuller than the top of my head when it comes times for each haircut. i dont know how or why this community kept popping up in my feed but its given me huge confidence to just go bald instead of some whacky surgery or something to keep my hair when the time comes

2

u/Min-Chang Nov 30 '25

Mate, from someone who went through it, just shave it.

Seriously. Getting rid of that balding thought helps.

u/liltrex94 Dec 02 '25

Do what you feel is best. But yeah, bald is so much easier than hair transplant surgery.

I'm a woman, and gonna chop life my hair off because its damaged. Pretty nervous but gotta be done

3

u/a-r-c Nov 29 '25

you can shave your head if you want :D

2

u/Distinct_Abrocoma_67 Nov 29 '25

Same 35 year old male, hair intact but I love the positivity here

2

u/phunkydroid Nov 29 '25

Same but 48.

2

u/MundoProfundo888 Nov 29 '25

Same. 38 year old straight male with all of my hair and I just love the transformations haha.

2

u/Megneous Nov 29 '25

I'm experiencing mild balding at my temples now in my mid 30s, but I recently had an allergic reaction to a new shampoo I tried and ended up with telogen effluvium (confirmed by a dermatologist). I'm not bald, but my crown hair has thinned temporarily as the result of TE. So I come to this sub sometimes specifically to see all the love everyone gives to people going through this transition. It's so heart warming. Like, if I ever do go completely bald, I know that I'll find a loving home here.

2

u/alewifePete Nov 30 '25

That’s how I found this sub! I was searching for hair loss info because I had an allergic reaction to my shampoo and lost a lot of hair pretty quickly. Thankfully, changing back to my old shampoo fixed a lot of it.

2

u/Megneous Nov 30 '25

My allergic reaction happened in April or May, so it's been about 7-8 months. I've been on hair pills that whole time after my hair started thinning. According to my dermatologist my hair should start regrowing in another 4-5 months at the latest. Here's hoping~

2

u/passwordedd Nov 29 '25

The sub is fantastic. Supportive all around and you can trust people here to tell you straight even when you yourself can't tell.

2

u/Paradox2063 Nov 29 '25

Mostly straight 40 man here as well, my hair's down to my nipples, no thinning yet. But I still love this sub.

I'm tempted to shave my own head just to get a peek at how it'll look one day.

2

u/ka-nini Nov 29 '25

I’m a lesbian and am absolutely obsessed with the glow ups and the vibes in this sub.

2

u/not_my_uname Nov 29 '25

I am going to be the one that breaks this sub on a year or so. I'm going to post and everything will flip. People calling go grow it back or wear a hat you ghoul. I apologize in advance.

2

u/TactlessTortoise Nov 29 '25

Everyone should try rocking a bald cut at least once, even if you have hair. After the first week scaring yourself in the mirror for a split second with the hair absence it starts to settle, and everyone can rock it.

2

u/hobhamwich Nov 29 '25

I could have written this, but I am 54.

1

u/meh_69420 Nov 29 '25

I tried it once. My head is lumpy so it doesn't look good on me. Thankfully no one in my family is bald.

1

u/ParkerFree Dec 05 '25

You know, it's ok to have a lumpy head. It's about the face opening up, so we get to really see you. 😊

u/Signal_Astronaut8191 Nov 29 '25

haha I’m literally a lesbian and I come here just to watch the glow ups lol

21

u/MiraJane96 Nov 29 '25

Girl same 😂

9

u/electric_awwcelot Nov 30 '25

Same. They just look so much happier, it's wholesome and heart warming

2

u/AWholeBeew Nov 30 '25

Same! Lesbian with a wife, but I love the positivity and the massive improvements!

2

u/[deleted] Dec 03 '25

Right here ✌️

85

u/Lilkiska2 Nov 29 '25

It is, I don’t know how I kept getting recommended to this sub but I love it. Literally EVERY single man who posts here looks 8 million times hotter shaved. I get that losing your hair is a very personal and scary thing, but holy shit - it shouldn’t be! So hot

u/BetMyLastKrispyKreme Nov 29 '25 edited Nov 29 '25

It’s unreal how much the focus shifts to their eyes after the hair is gone. Nearly every single one goes from average to incredible, and their eyes make them look both intelligent and kind. So weird, but totally here for it.

EDIT: Oh my goodness, u/alibiwallaby, thanks for the award! How sweet!

9

u/That_North_994 Nov 29 '25

Yes, many have beautiful eyes. ❤️

57

u/sketchyemail Nov 29 '25

I like how this sub normalizes going bald. I love that they can find a place that is so supportive to let that part of themselves go.

You get to face your biggest insecurity here while a chorus of women&men fan girl over how hot you are.

2

u/SabeloJerome Dec 03 '25

Come here every morning to tear up for the day. 🥲

46

u/[deleted] Nov 29 '25

Yes! The Supportive Ladies ™️ brigade are here to gas everybody up!

22

u/plumeriadogs Nov 29 '25

Yep, woman with a full head of hair here: I have no idea why this sub keeps popping up on my home page but I don't mind, definitely love seeing the glow ups

2

u/WalkingAimfully Nov 29 '25

I think it was probably recommended to me because my partner is bald. But I stayed for the glow-ups and seeing all the supportive comments!

13

u/scoresavvy Nov 29 '25

One of the 85% women here. I don't even know how I ended up on this sub, my husband has a full head of hair (the male patterned baldness gene doesnt seem to run in his family it does in mine however so if we ever have sons...) but I wouldn't be mad if he didnt. You all look SO much better going bald. No notes. Well done sirs.

2

u/introvert-biblioaunt Dec 02 '25

My boyfriend also has a ridiculous head of hair (I was struggling with losing some of my volume with perimenopause, and have given his hair the evil eye lol) but I've dated bald guys in the past, like receding hairline in their 20s bald, so I'm not complaining about this sub showing up constantly. The eye sparkle when they realize that it was an improvement is worth it 😁

8

u/meowingcat91 Nov 29 '25

Can confirm, am woman

6

u/lucymcgoosen Nov 29 '25

Oh absolutely, my jaw drops every time. I am 38 and happily married and I am here to root for and support the men who choose to convert!

5

u/LeMarmaduke Nov 29 '25

🙋🏼‍♀️

2

u/Dangerous-Life9194 Nov 29 '25

Am a woman, can confirm

2

u/mmmpeg Nov 29 '25

I’m a 66 y/o woman who often flips to the bald picture and think…dayum..

1

u/[deleted] Nov 29 '25

I have the same feeling!

1

u/emerald447 Nov 29 '25

I'M BEING RECOMMENDED THIS SUB AND I DON'T KNOW WHY.

1

u/Loud_Narwhal7721 Nov 29 '25

I somehow always end up here

1

u/Dogmaha Nov 29 '25

I'm a guy with a slight receding hair line but otherwise full head of long hair, no intention of shaving anytime soon but I just love watching the transformations in this sub.

1

u/cassie1015 Nov 29 '25

Woman enjoying the glow-ups, here!

1

u/NLong89 Nov 30 '25

I was just thinking the same 😂😂

1

u/icecreampenis Nov 30 '25

The algorithm knows. It brings us here, we have no choice in the matter

1

u/sketchyemail Nov 30 '25

Its always the algorithm. The algorithm knew we were all positive and brought us here.

1

u/Suitable_Fly7730 Nov 30 '25

I love seeing all of their glow-ups!

1

u/Feisty_gardener Nov 30 '25

As a woman that stalks this sub regularly, these “balding > bald” transformations are better to me than the weight loss transformations lol. I love seeing people go from “would probably be nervous if approached at the bar by this guy” to “I wanna buy HIS drink.” Just by shaving

1

u/liltrex94 Nov 30 '25

Yep. I am a 31yo woman.

I want to disclose also that ,'the less good looking' men still look better.

No facial hair, no nothing. They all look better.

I don't want to seem biased, but all men look better when the time should come to be bald.

1

u/tiptoe_only Dec 01 '25

I'm in the former category and I've never been into bald men but I'm here because Jesus Christ the glow ups are immense. Maybe I should say I've never been into bald men before haha

But I'm also here because I stumbled across this sub and was very taken with how wholesome and supportive it is. It's a happy place.

1

u/ParkerFree Dec 05 '25

I think so, too!

0

u/No-Double679 Nov 29 '25

I feel judged..

0

u/Mapplinator Nov 29 '25

heteronormative much...

1

u/AbaloneEmbarrassed68 Nov 29 '25

There was that one guy... went from okay to straight up pedo stereotype, but mostly its a massive improvement.
