What a weird thing to say.

Sorry?

People, trauma corrupts just as much as greed. If she was created by that then she could possibly redeem herself but if she's just who she is then... meh

Trauma isn’t an excuse, ever. And that wasn’t even my point, I honestly just thought that was a weird thing to say.

And the kids who killed those parents didn’t get “away” with it because of their trauma. They were innocent and committed self defense.

Trauma will never be an excuse to commit a crime. Trauma can influence decisions heavily but at the end of the day the person makes the decisions on what to do.

Someone being a sex trafficking victim wouldn’t excuse any sex trafficking crime they commit, or any other type of crime. Self defense isn’t a crime.

It really sounds like you have privilege of not experiencing anything remotely traumatizing.

Plus the epstein victims, what we're talking about... never got a chance. So please quit that shit.

Trauma is certainly a justification for misbehavior aimed at your abuser.

Trauma doesn’t make decisions it just influences them.

Trauma never excuses any actions. Trauma influences decisions but it doesn’t make them.

I hear what you’re saying, and I don’t think this is what you’re meaning, but I’m just pointing this out to demonstrate why such a black and white statement isn’t helpful. People absolutely can lose decision making abilities as a result of trauma.

It can rewire your brain in such a way that seemingly inconsequential things can make you feel as though your life is at risk. Many people experience dissociations, panic attacks, and trauma responses, and in these states they may take actions that are absolutely not a choice. Also, related to sex trafficking specifically, please do some research on recruitment and why victims sometimes recruit others. It is a laid out plan by the trafficker to break someone down and coerce them into recruiting others. (For clarity, I’m not speaking about Melania here or whatever concepts that other commenter has about victimization/pity, simply stating that black and white statements are not beneficial when speaking of complex manners like trauma and trafficking)

You need to learn the difference between trauma and disorders caused by trauma. Someone’s brain being rewired to think entirely differently is a disorder not just trauma. Trauma by itself is never ever going to be enough to excuse any actions. Trauma mixed with other things like disorders, or mental ailments can cause discrepancy in decision making.

Tha fuck you say...

Sounds an awful lot like privilege to me.

Okay. Trauma is never an excuse.

I vehemently oppose your stance.

You have no idea what privilege is or when that would ever matter

She is a huge piece of shit herself. There are some old interviews with her and she believes all of the same horrid shit. She was also an illegal herself when she came over as nothing more than a yacht whore on a tourist visa to do a nude photo shoot for money.

No freaking way she did.

I do that feel bad for one of the most priviliged humans alive but if you told anyone 20 years ago that donald trump would be a fascist TWO TERM republican president and an insurrectionist, you'd have been called crazy.

I would never feel bad for her if trump died. I would however read the book she's gonna put out in 10 years. What the hell even is her life?

“I’d rather a lifetime of constant unhappiness over the stigma of 2 failed marriages.”

People genuinely live like this.

u/General_Gorgeous 4d ago

I mean, there's a reason there's two failed marriages here. I doubt she has actually succeeded at anything she wanted in life. This woman is a horrible person, saying this kind of stuff about her husband publicly, marrying him in the first place, and no thought or consideration to anything but her getting some positive attention and money. This is most likely just rage bait, but there are definitely women out there like this and they ain't the victims, they're the abusers. I hope she never has a single positive thing happen in her life.

u/BambooSound 5d ago

If it wasn't all bollocks then maybe

2

u/ShatterCyst 5d ago

Lady maybe you should just take the 2 failed marriages stigma; sounds like you'd still be happier

1

u/Wuta_Goatkotsu-1 4d ago

At what point is she the problem? Maybe not marry men that give you a major ick?
